Hey folks, Harry here... Has Robert Rodriguez entered into discussions with Viggo Mortensen for the role of MADMAN based on the genius comic? Is this Rodriguez's follow up project to SPY KIDS 2 and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO? When the hell would he shoot it? Robert is a lightning fast developer and turn around man, but frankly as soon as all footage for SPY KIDS 2 is wrapped he has to do post on that and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO. SK2 is hitting that first weekend of August. No date has been nailed for OUATIM due to SK2's firm date. So, that should hit sometime in the fall/holiday season. I imagine post on both will be done by late summer at the latest. Which means Robert may very well be doing prep work on his next film.

Will it be MADMAN? Is the French version of PEOPLE magazine crazy? We'll see I suppose. Robert had no less than about 4 projects he was juggling for next inclusion in the Rodriguez filmography. Having Viggo in Austin would rule!

This is a it of news you might already have, but here you go anyway... The French version of "People" magazine, "Voici", ran a tiny article saying that Viggo Mortensen had been cast as Madman in the upcoming film version. That's about all I've got to say really, keep up the good work.
