But I do admit, it is one kick ass trailer....also one that shows too much! Lots of avalanches and Robin Tunney looking retarded as always...I say let the bitch freeze and die and I hope Chris dies in this movie, He bugs! He needs to DO GAY PORN! He would be a better actor I think in that genre!

Besides, not only is Marty Cambell a great action director, he actually managed to wring out a believable performace out of Katherine Zeta Jones, which was her only only decent role (other than her cameo in "High Fidelity").
sounds exciting

I wasnt looking forward to this movie much becuase Chris Odonnel makes my skin crawl almost as much as Rosie (that beast), but it sounds exciting. What was wrong with Cliffhanger, I thought that was the last decent movie that Stalone did. Oh well
All you can think of is Cliffhanger????

If Chris O'Donnell doesn't make it at the end of this one, I'll go see it. Otherwise- YAAAWWWN!
Chris O'donnel is reason enough to not see any movie.

After "Three Musketeers" and "Batman Forever" I can't watch anything with him in it. Much like DiCaprio, he's have to be in a James Cameron movie for me to see it. (I went agaisnt this better judgement once to see "Man in the Iron Mask" figuring the large ensemble cast and directing by the guy who wrote Braveheart would make up for Leo's presence. Last time I make that mistake.) I avoided "Scent of a Woman" because of him. I actually went and found the original foriegn film it was based on and watched that instead.
Robin Tunney is hot!

What the hell is wrong with Robin Tunney? And what the hell was wrong with CLIFFHANGER? It had John Lithgow in one of his coolest villian roles (next to Richochet) and Michael Rooker. It was pretty damn good. I agree about Chris O'Donnell though. Yeegawd!
Please,

At his career zenith, Chris O'Donnell was little more than a Corey Haim with dramatic chops. A Midwestern pretty-boy beloved by preteen girls. But what he did with Joel and Akiva (and Batnipples) doomed his future, and a year later Matt Damon basically replaced O'Donnell's former casting niche. Chris desperately wanted to star in Vertical Limit to resuscitate his career, but considering that he hasn't done a decent movie in over 5 years, it's a little too late. Nice guy, nice try. But I'll see Vertical Limit b/c Martin Campbell rocks. As for John Lithgow in Cliffhanger and Ricochet, those performances were awful (shamlessly aping both Alan Rickman and Anthony Hopkins). Lithgow's best roles were in Buckaroo Banzai, Twilight Zone, World According to Garp, and his SNL guest-host stints. If Jarek actually thinks Ricochet ranks higher, he probably also thought Terence Stamp's best performance was in 1993's Real McCoy.

Lithgow's best villian performance was in BLOW OUT actually... he barely talked, but he was creepy... CLIFFHANGER was higher than Richocet as well.... and I liked Terence Stamp in THE LIMEY

that's the only way i can explain the venom directed at chris o'donnell on AICN and in these talkbacks. yes, he sucked big time in 'the three musketeers' but didn't everyone? and would you rather have had leonardo di caprio or christian slater as robin? fuck no! he was pretty damn good in 'batman forever' IMHO, and the only reason he was less than successful in 'batman & robin' was because akiva goldsman wrote the script using a pen jammed in his asshole and joel schumacher was so distracted by the sight of it that he forgot the basic principles of how to direct a movie. sorry. anyway, o'donnell's been OK in other stuff and he looks like the right stuff in the 'vertical limit' trailers - a white-bread kinda guy forced into heroism above and beyond the call of duty. come on, there are more than enough legitimately crap actors cluttering up our screens to kick the shit out of! (paging matthew lillard.) there's no reason to pick on o'donnell.

Actually we were just being facetious in the acidic comments above, and love Chris O'Donnell as much as our aunts and uncles cherished Alan Alda when he was alive. As for Matthew Lillard and the legacy he is departing into acting history, don't knock him just yet --- the textbooks of the future's college-drama workshops will remember him as the Laurence Olivier of Top 40 teenybopper Shakespeare remakes. Just as the latest AFI thesis study is contemplating the contrasting performance methods used in the characterizations of Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore in "Like Father Like Son."

Hey You know what? A tear is trickling down my cheek in joy due to the fact that AICN'ers have finally agreed upon one point. That Chris O'Donnell is a big deep smelly buh-ho (butthole). Everyone on this talk back is in agreement. This solidarity is making me weepy. Dropkick splittin' like pants.
