It's a shame to know that Tim Burton's getting all the credit for this, though. I mean outside the internet. third/fourth/fifth

...you stay miles away from the convention center on Comic-Con weekend. My view from the patio at the bar(s) will be very exciting, indeed.
Comic-Con is too overblown

The panels fill up too quick, there is an assload of people, and the 'net coverage is better than being there. Used to get press passes, don't even bother now.

Personally I've gotten into about 95% of the panels I've wanted to see. It's an orderly chaotic circus. The crowd is intimidating but if you get in line not at the last minute... they may be long but you can get in. You may not get a good seat at first but you're in. I like getting all the free and exclusive crap. Who doesn't like free crap?

How about 9.99?

.99 cents better than 9! I haven't seen either, but it does seem like a good year for claymation movies with 9 in the title.

The real problem is, too many good things going on at the same time. Can't see everything!

But, damn, I hate the crowds in San Diego during Comic Con. Haven't gone to since 99, I think. Too bad it's all Hollywood bullshit...

is inevitable given how crazy crowded the con has become, but it is still the most fun to be had in the country if not the world that week. I too remember the days before hollywood and the insane crowds, when going on Thursday meant that it was relatively empty on the floor...but I still love going. Two more weeks!

Although I kind of find it a little odd that Comic-Con '09 news/rumors have been fairly tame this year. We need more scoops! What to expect? Where to be?

I'll be there opening night if it gets a release out in my bumfuck area(Norfolk, VA)... unfortunately, i'll probably be there by myself, because my friends are brainless douches and my girlfriend is too squeamish. But in recent months I've been getting hooked on Korean cinema; the elegant cinematography, the tongue-in-cheek, quirky approach to subject matter; the brilliant use of music... to me, Korean cinema represents everything that is good, to me, about movies. Unfortunately, I've only seen a limited number of them, mostly the ones that were enormous hits over there: Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Memories of Murder, The Host, etc. If any of you guys have some good suggestions for what I should watch next, let me know.
Hmmm, No Heroes panel listed yet...
