Check out Tom Hardy in the BBC drama, 'Stuart: A Life Backwards'.

It's a true story about a homeless drug addicted criminal suffering from muscular dystrophy.

Sounds depressing, but its great entertainment thanks to Hardy.

The man's a phenomenal talent - he did a low budget fantasy called Minotaur (the greek horny man-bull) which was bloody awful - really bad. But i watched the whole thing cos Tom Hardy is so great.

if anyone does see it and likes it id strongly recomend his book. Some of the stories are hilarious in a dark way obviously. my personal favourite is where he is holding some prisoners hostage and demands " a cup of tea and a helicopter ". he also claims to have held more hostages than sadam hussain.

I fucking loved this film, the only thing that has made me laugh more recently was CharlesThomasMathews1978 telling BobOrci how shit his work is.

Tom Hardy is going to be one to watch after this film, he's totally magnetic in it. The funniest bits being where the prison authorities treat Bronson seriously like some sort of hostage taker with demands, when all he really wants is a chance to beat the shit out of the guards again.

I thought he was awesome in Bronson. A good movie, but a great performance. Hard to believe he was that scrawny swish Picard clone in Star Trek Nemesis.

I always find his performances so mannered. Inauthentic. Maybe it's just the nature of the roles he's played. I saw him in a show in the West End and he really seemed ill at ease on stage. But he is certainly fearless in his choice of roles. And I agree that Stuart: A life Backwards is worth seeing.

Any and everybody involved in the genre should be quarantined from the rest of society. Send 'em all down to Guantanamo, lock them in, and don't give them any food. Oh, and videotape it. THAT would be entertaining, and far more socially relevant than any of the shit they've polluted our air waves with.

I say no. Armando Iannuci, Steve Coogan, James Gandolfini and Peter Capaldi augers well for it. Haven't seen it, mind you. I'm in Australia. But I doubt anything will come close to it's undoubted brilliance. Just great that there's still comedy a long, long, long way away from the overly-sentimental Apatow-formula.
Humpday question:

If you take a simple gay joke and stretch it out over 80 minutes, does it become not only funny, but a brilliant commentary on modern American gender roles and male relationships? Answer: NO. But you can sure fool a lot of people into thinking you're a brilliant storyteller even though you can't be bothered to learn to use a real camera or write a bloody script. It doesn't matter that Humpday is just as under-produced as Transformers 2 is over-produced, it's still, like Transformers, totally devoid of CONTENT.

Charlie Fucking Bronson. Imagine if Mark Chopper Reed and Franco Begbie had a child and it was trained in etiquette by Alex & his Droogs.
Its fucking brilliantly done.
Tom Hardy is definitely a rising star.
This movie is amazingly shot as well, props to Larry Smith & Nicolas Winding Refn for giving each seen a lush picturesque quality. It's very Kubric-like in it's composition and camera movement, and it just looks really good..
