I know most people thought this show was the worst, but if you gave it a chance, it really turned out to be well done. Has anyone heard anything as to whether there is a chance this show could come back in the winter months?

Stop Tina Fey before it's too late. Be the solution. It's a growing epidemic.

Until Chuck comes back on. When is that by the way, January? What about FNL? Aren't they doing another season? Is it split between DirectTV and NBC again?
Xiphos, Chuck won't be back until March 1, '10.

Ah, remember Thursday nights in the 80s? Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, and Night Court. The greatest night for TV. Ever.

Nice spin. However, "much talked about" does not mean "highly anticipated".

Or maybe they mean "anticipated" as in "expected". Then yes, it is true that The Jay Leno Show, a show we have known for months would be on the Fall schedule and have had no expectations to the contrary, is highly anticipated. We all very much expect it will be airing.

I hope short, quality seasons with lots of time to write become more common.

As in, Chuck seasons 4,5, and 6.

I got Supernatural and The Office in the fall then the 'knock you on your ass' winter season of Lost, 24, and Chuck. Screw Leno, the best thing to happen to video games since Pong. And Burn Notice was great tonight as always
Shit No Chuck till March of 2010?

and will run into the summer if the back nine gets picked up. This is gonna be a back-loaded season, with most of the good shows not coming back until 2010.

Interesting...a blog linked in the Fuller/Heroes talkback says he bailed partly because he wanted more time to plan for the new season, but that didn't happen. It will also be interesting to see what effect Leno's show has on Conan's ratings; Letterman actually beat TTS for the first time in a while last week.
Why 30 Rock in mid october?

NBC doesn't do that show any favor by not including it on the same day as the premiere's of Office, Parks and Rec and Community. I also hate in general when my favorite shows start so late

They've got an "Encore" showing of Trauma listed for Sat. Sept. 26, but also say that it premieres on Mon. Sep. 28.
Neat trick.

..to two nights a week, and then shit-canned? One season tops? Mid-season? Any guesses? I give it till mid-season before they pull it for "retooling".
Best night ever.

"Ah, remember Thursday nights in the 80s? Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, and Night Court. The greatest night for TV. Ever." Only one classic, two very good shows, and the most overrated show ever (sorry to say, on it's best day Cosby was only mildly amusing) In the late 70's they had Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, three's company, and Taxi, all on one night Tues. In the early 70's they actually had All In the Family, Mash, Mary Tyler Moore, and the Carol Burnett show, on Saturdays, before they moved Mash to mondays.

I stopped watching when they poked fun at the idea of Jack's "real father" as a cliche story device...and then PROCEEDED to follow through and do it anyway. That killed it for me. Parks & Recreation didn't turn me on until the last episode so I'm looking forward to that. SNL is gradually improving. And The Office (despite that lame last scene of the season finale) still remains my #1. They know how to keep that show fresh and for every sour episode there are at least two or three gems that follow.
MEGAN FOX HOST SNL? Talk about a nobrainer.

Why bother with this "live" nonsense? The show is obviously "sweetened" with canned laughter. 80 percent of those skits are not as funny as the machines think.

No confirmation to the rumor that Michael Stipe is joining the cast of The Office next season? Too weird if it's real.
