Grisham books that should get the big screen before this. Like The Partner, The Brethren, etc. Hell, even the Street Lawyer, or King of Torts would be a better movie than the testament.

20th century! Unless The Man sends some transforming robots into the jungle to chase the girl, this one will garner as much box office as other recent dramas.

This was a decent book, but it probably won't make for a good or even mildly exciting movie. I'd much rather see a different book get made into a film.

Wasn't Runaway Jury a Grisham adaptation, or did I just read that shit wrong. I read some thing the other day where he was raving about Shia LaBoeuf saying he's the hottest thing in the world right now. Keep him the fuck away.

Using 'finally' in the headline implies anyone was actually waiting for another lump of Grisham crap to be dolloped onto our collective film plate.

Grishams that I actually liked and indeed read was the client. I have seen all of the film adaptations of his works. without reading the books. All of his film adaptations have been atrocious. The runaway bored me to tears. Despite having a great cast including hoffman, Weizs and John cusack. that movie was just dull. He is just not an exciting writer.

Actually their lead guitarist also is in another band with Primus drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander, called Attention Deficit. That's almost prog rock.

I originally wanted to see Alec Baldwin in The Broker, but now think he's too old. James Purefoy for The Broker. The Partner, The Brethren, The Summons, or even The King of Torts would be better than The Testament.

The mid-90s comedy with Michael J. Fox and Kirk Douglas. Only I bet this one won't be as funny. :)

The thing is, after his legal thrillers started to all follow the same formula, I got into his non-legal books. A Painted House is great. Skipping Christmas is okay. I thought Playing for Pizza was great because it was something entirely new. There' one called The Bleachers, or Under the Bleachers, or something like that. I haven't read that yet. I would really like to see Playing for Pizza made into a movie.

The main character is an idiot-alcoholic, and I don't remember much in the way of action or suspense.

This will be a beautiful movie because of the rain forest setting. I read everything Grisham. The movie adaptations have been mixed. This is one of two books where his Christian faith came through pretty clearly. I'm looking forward to it. Still wish he would allow The Street Lawyer to become a movie. I thought The Runaway Jury movie came after A Time to Kill.

As much as I love Grisham's legal novels, I'm dying for PLAYING FOR PIZZA with Nathon Fillon in the lead role.

Fillon would be great being that he's supposed to be a QB who had been bouncing around the league for years. Besides he has the looks to play younger. For the coach I was thinking DeNiro, as he has to remember some Italian, right?

was a good book, and they fucked up they movie by making it about gun control, instead of tobacco litigation (like the book), among other things.
