... that's pretty good. It gives the contest somewhat of a global feel. As someone who *just* saw season 1, I can only hope that the show captures the storytelling magic once more--- but with less-stereotypical characters and with upgraded special effects.

Even still; whomever got Wendy and Lisa involved made a good choice. Hopefully, they'll allow them to take even more artistic risks next season.
Congratulations on your crap score!

Ugh. "Heroes" score is painfully bad. It interferes with the tone of the drama (which is bad anyway), enhances bad scenes to an even worse level, and ruined Shankar for me. I will need to play Peter Gabriel's music in a loop for a week to flush out the damage they did in "Heroes" with Shankar's vocals.
Why would anybody want this?

Does the music make the turds slide out of your ass smoother? This fucking show sucks. Yeah there's anger because after an OK first season suckered me into waisting my time with the second with a constant pondering of hope when there was none. Fuck this show.

Man -- are you in for a surprise. You'll be better off watching steam lift off of poo than the latter seasons of "Heroes". If you don't believe me, read the talk-backs (I never trust the opinions in here... except "Heroes". They hit it right on the mark).

... I don't doubt what you're saying, for a second. I actually don't plan to watch anything related to "Heroes" until season 4 gets going. I think season 1 did well *despite* having some rather pathetic characters (though not the fault of the actors). After reading some of the seasons 2 & 3 info on Wikipedia a little while back, I joined the same camp as you. In fairness, though, season 2 started off with too many weaknesses. To wit, I'm referring to the writers' strike and the sheer absurdity of Sylar somehow surviving after he was jumped (and impaled) during season 1's finale.

Unfortunately, you'll see that the "weaknesses" you referred to were NOT due to the writers' strike... the true weaknesses were in the direction, writing, producing, scoring, and acting. You'll see. There were no writers' strikes for the remaining seasons...

Its from composer Camille Saint Saëns and his musical suite "The Carnival of the Animals". Its from the movement titled "Aquarium" and is a beautiful piece that has been used in Malick's "Days of Heaven" and many other media (documentaries on filmmaking l saw in college come to mind).

The Finale was used in Fantasia 2000, the sequence with the dancing flamingos playing with yo-yos.

The main theme from Babe was also adapted from a Camille Saint Saëns piece in his Symphony #3.

Thanks man

Apparently the first few tracks are quite interesting but towards the end of the disc the quality drops sharply, and the final track sounds like it was recorded before they'd finished writing it. They're doing a second one, but it's only 15 minutes long and repeats the same song over and over again, then just stops. There is also talk of releasing a third, double CD - the first disc is similar to the original CD, but louder and with lots of unnecessary sound effects which get in the way of the music; the second one is EXACTLY the same as the first CD but with dozens of extra musicians who turn up, play one note, then get fired.

The DVD extras has a great interview with these two. Seems they were once two of the Prince gals! Anyway, can't wait for Season 4. Anyone know if these gals will still be part of the creative team? Robert in D.C.
