This is the kind of thing that was fun to believe ten years ago, when we were still trying to figure out the whole online rumor game. By now, we should all know better. Seriously, why would Arnold be starring in a Predator movie anytime soon? He hasn't starred in ANY movie since becoming governor and has never expressed much interest in reprising Dutch anyway. Arnold was a movie star that was famous for his physique. Once he started trying to downplay that in the late 90's, his box office began to decline. At this stage, he's just as likely to continue his political ambitions as his film career. Even if he does return to Hollywood, he would surely want it to be in something big- not another sequel to a 20-year-old franchise. He tried leaving Hollywood that way and it didn't exactly set the box office on fire.

Ok, this has to be said. I run one of the other websites here in Los Angeles and we are sick to death of AICN - hell, even most of your writers are sick of AICN. You sit there in your ivory tower only taking calls and emails from those you "think" will take you to the top, but wont ever get out of your, er, wheelchair to even say hello to your online colleagues at events. You don't have time for anyone that pose a threat to you. What irks me the most is that half the stories you publish are absolute BS - - but nobody ever QUASHES them. Nobody. What gets me about this one is that this story in question never actually said ARNOLD HAS SAID YES TO PREDATORS - AB King said that - they said that someone from Rodriguez's camp has reached out to Arnold. And why WOULDN'T they have reached out to Arnold? Of course someone would have - if not RR, then Fox. If Rodriguez is on this, it means that the right guy is doing it. It's not like Renny Harlin or Paul Anderson got the gig - for once! Rodriquez is a visionary, and most of all a genre fan. I totally trust this project in his hands. If only he'd been on for #2, then we wouldn't've had that awful movie (Why was Glover's dialogue restricted to mere swear words? I had read the novelization based on the script, and in that, the Predator was a Praying Mantis-type thing. It used some sort of spear/javelin thing to kill with, and to me, it was MUCH cooler than the gay "shoulder mounted blaster" and "wrist blades" that we got in the movie.
