The better. Can't wait to take a vacation and have some incredible food and smokes there. I long for the ritzy era back when Bogart was in Cuba.

Loved watching that guy, stogie, 44 different wind-ups, and all. Yeah his dad was a big star down there back in the day, he was a pitcher too. I'm always surprised whenever this site covers something that has to do w/ sports just because. This should be a good movie. Interesting.

It is a very good movie, I saw an early version of the documentary, and Tiante makes a fascinating lead. As Beaks points out, he tries to hide behind the fu manchu, the fat cigar, the big championship ring. But it makes you watch his face even more closely, looking for emotion. The docu also points out that Fidel himself "socialized" baseball after the revolution, trapping Cuban players on the island. This forced Tiante to chose between his family and his future. He made the right decision, but you can see the suffering it's caused him...

Sleek? Luis Tiant? He was about as sleek as Skip Lockwood.

there's a Starbucks and McDonalds on every corner.

But, as soon as US corporations are allowed to do business in Cuba, they'll be there quick as they can.
