I've watched the leaked version and I can safely say its one of the biggest loads of utter fucking shite I have seen in years.

It's a fucking fugly mess of a movie. And no amount of "extra scenes" and "finished FX" is going to save this.

Who released this workprint for everyone to see? Fox did. It got a whole lot of free publicity for this film that didn't already exist and created hype for all new footage that people who've seen the workprint will STILL go to the theatres to see in order to compare and contrast with.

So, the film ends, WOLVERINE credits start rolling, Stryker clip, X-3 credits roll and at the END of the X-3 credits, a scene with Wolverine in a Japanese bar with a barmaid in heavy "geisha" makeup who looks about as Asian as Kristen Kreuk. In other words, not very Asian.

FOX is intent on rewriting their own history, especially when guys like Freidman, or even O'Reilly or Beck, stick their feet in their collective mouths.

Only if you ever have a film you're truly proud of and love and have gone through hell with a studio and end up test screening it and going through the horror of seeing just how idiotic the cards can be ("why isn't this r rated movie more like step up 2 the streets") and then the studio pressures you to reshoot cut a different version, and accordingly it get s tested, and written up on aicn... will you know how yes it's not illegal, but it's never been very ethical. the problem with test screenings has never been that a studio wants to do them - it's the sheer idiocy that gets collated on those reports embodied in the general public.

Secondly, it is not illegal to download a movie, though it is unethical. It is illegal to share the movie. So Friedman did not break the law, and can't be jailed for his actions. The people who posted the workprint, and everyone who shared it via BitTorrent or whatever have broken the law. Friedman only broke the law if he left the movie in a shared folder and continued to seed it.

I did like the opening credits jumps through wars though, I like films that make good use of the credits, its one of the main resons I now detest seeing Spiderman films, you spend 5% of the film watching names in bold.

I know I'm pure evil for downloading it but the way I see it I'm only downloading films I wouldn't pay money for anyway so whats the harm, I don't profit through selling them on. Plus I still have a giant DVD collection, so if I do download it and it turns out to be amazing, I'll buy it on DVD then, (like I did with Iron Man, I was convinced it was going to be shit) so they if the quality is good the company actually MAKES MONEY from me downloading it and then recommending it to friends.
