I'm guessing it was so we could relive the awesomeness of last week's episode, because that much ballyhooed Fuller-ized Heroes installment didn't deserve a second viewing, that's for sure.

I find it a little improbable that a freakin' helicopter could just air-lift that big chemical/bomb thing in no time flat AND just fly off with no one tracking it! YOU'RE IN WASHINGTON D.C.! Shouldn't the airspace around the NATION'S CAPITOL be monitored just a little bit better?? As if the USAF wouldn't be on that "unknown chopper" like white on rice. I know, I know. It's only TV. But I digress...

...at the site, and why would Trip go to the place where the people that tried to kill him are hanging out at....assuming he even knew where that place may be. He's a run of the mill security guard. If anything, he'll be questioned by Moss, and I doubt he even knows Tony was kidnapped. They didn't show him watching it go down, and they don't do flashbacks.

Well written power women are so rare. They're either written as a man with a women in the role (Starbuck in BSG), or so cold that we don't care (Olivia Dunham) or bitchy and nasty (take your pick). I haven't enjoyed a female role like this since Sydney Bristow (Alias). Can't wait for tonight's show!

...might not apply to Trip, given that Jack finally gave in to his conscience in the moment and put the life of one above the lives of many more. Sure, eventually anyone near Jack is doomed, but that was an important narrative moment in the show's mythos, and I was impressed they still had something that significant in the 24 bag of tricks. Jack is starting to crack.

can't end up in a romantic relationship with Jack if we want to see her around next season (ask Teri, the Salazar floozy, or Audrey Raines.) Jack is the angel of Death. What would be really surprising is if she makes it to the end of the day without sacrificing herself to save the now-incapacitated Bauer. And I don't think things look that great for Kim, either. Just sayin'.

by allykatD
Mar 30th, 2009
06:38:11 PM
and I don't care if it's the 'trend', it's a demeaning name for an awesome character like Renee Walker so I'll keep calling her Freckles Bauer. "Rack" is not a nickname you give to someone that you like. I can see you calling her that if you don't like her. Maybe it's a guy thing... maybe they think it's cute or cool or something, but being a woman, I'm not going to call a character that I really *really* like a sexist crappy name.

Date of pardon: 2007-11-02

Freeze-framed the pardon the president signed. It's dated November 2, "In the year of our Lord, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-first". The calendar year would follow Lord and is omitted, but 1776+231=2007. Based on the number of presidential terms since the first season that's impossible.

Speedle talks loudly with John v about being nervous right in front of Tony. Speedle storms in and shoots the bad guy...Tony, did you yourself test fire his gun? or check dead guys pulse to be sure hes dead? Poor Tony, I expected better of him. Knew right then Speedle was trapping him. Didnt see how til the end. However, very awesome episode! And yeah, Agent Peirce, you and jack are SOOOO going to him that by the end of the 24 hours!

Tony sure was looking around at the people involved at Starkwood, especially the guy who showed up at the end. There was something very deliberate about that scene.

1) Hodges likes to get down in the clubhouse with the grunts, personally making decisions that your typical CEO would leave to middle-management. 2) Talks a lot about people being "a patriot." 3) Loves to wear light jackets. 4) Seeks to build his own sovereign empire. 5) He seeks victory by obtaining chemical weapons (please make your Jason Giambi/A-Rod/Jose Canseco joke here).

Starwood's big bad bio weapon is mad cow disease...

Who didn't see that fake out coming? It was kinda obvious. And Moss did a 180 very quickly, considering his attitude before. Rack totally wanted to jump Jack's bones, even after she saw the scars. Excuse us while we "debrief" in the interrogation room.

reminds me more of the geezer that owns the Raiders.

And with as many plot holes and implausibilities as there are in 24, they shouldn't have effed up the obvious one like Starwood's WMD. The disease should have been something really scary like Ebola, which has origins in Africa and is very easy to spread. To get CJD or mad cow, you have to consume contaminated tissue, or transfuse blood. Neither is spread through inhalation. Granted this ain't ER or some other medical show, but at least put some thought into it.

Are they just the numberous boo-boos the guy has suffered over the years or are they from something particular. I didn't realize he was that scared up. And yeah, Keifer is scrawny. I think he drinks and parties too much to hit the gym, which he needs. But heck, he's still Jack. And I'm starting to like Moss, too. Oh, and the end to this episode is driving me nuts. I went to bed wondering how they're going to cure Jack and I woke up thinking about how they're going to cure Jack. This show is like reading a really good spy thriller one chapter a week. I'm ripping my hair out.

Watching last night's episode, Jack seemed relieved and happy when he got the test results back (he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief). The audience didn't know what the results were until several minutes later, meaning most of us assumed the results came back negative. So I'm wondering.........Is Jack relieved that he doesn't have to live anymore (he said in Season 6 when he thought he was going to die for real that it would be a relief)?
