You'd think staging a brutal gang rape in a movie for an extended scene would be enough to drive home the point. I don't think some one pissing themselves or not is going to matter much after that. Nope, I'm not burning any bras, but how does a 90-minute-plus movie about rape and torture qualify as entertainment? We're not talking about some film that uses disturbing scenes to enlighten us about the human condition. We're talking about a film where violence is the point and we're supposed to find it amusing. Seriously, these films appeal to 1) trailer park roid heads one injection away from committing the acts themselves and 2) wimpy nerds who think it's a test of manhood to see their rape fantasies about the girls who rejected them enacted out on the silver screen. (Don't sit in front of them in the theater, unless you like ultra-sticky hair gel.) I guess the best news here is, as someone pointed out, no one cares the movie is coming out.

They love sick shit like this. Why this needed to be remade (yet again) is baffling. How much sadism is enough for Hollywood? "Virgin Spring" is the best interpretation of this old folktale. Nothing more need be said or remade about it.
