I still have the oversized Resident Evil comics from the RE 1,2, and 3 days. I wish they would collect them in a hardcover or at least re-release them. I'm going to wear out the originals.

...anyone else miss the plain old mansion? Don't get me wrong I loved RE4 but I miss the murder-mystery feel of the mansion.

It's been years since I read the old series, but the baby Brainiac villain in R.E.B.E.L.S. was a right little bastard. I really enjoyed that series.

Marvel keeps taking these incredible risks with their characters, and people keep coming back to read the stories because they're pretty frickin' good. DC only now does something with Batman, and then exiles Superman, but Marvel has been taking these chances for years. No wonder they get 50% of the market share of comics. What started me on this tangent was the Manifest Destiny storyline that was started back in House of M. Pretty fantastic plot since then.

is one of my favourite Marvel titles at the moment. I feared the worst when Fraction & Bru left but Swierczynski has done a great job so far. That Nightcrawler preview has piqued my interest for the book - I'll give it a go. Fuzzy elf's due some time in the spotlight.

Compare the respective "deaths" of Captain America and Batman. Steve Rogers died at the end of a big event to widespread surprise. The death got massive publicity, hasn't been cheapened since, and was obviously part of the long-term story being told in Brubaker's Captain America book. Bruce Wayne's death was trailed for months, then it was fudged. Then it turned out he wasn't actually dead and he died "for real" in Final Crisis 6, but no-one cared. Then a month later it was revealed that he wasn't actually dead anyway. Could DC have fucked that up any more? Way to capitalise on the success of the biggest movie of the decade.

Totally agree -- When Cap die, most peoples were like "What the F?" because it was a huge surprise. People knew Batman was going down in some way, and some guy figured out, two months before FC6 came out, that the Omega Beams transport people in time, occasionally. It wasn't really a surprise, but yeah, it was a big letdown. It's that type of stuff that I feel defines Marvel as the better, and more successful, Risk-Taker.

all the x-men characters created by byrne and claremont are great. its a fucking shame that none of them of really gotten the attention they deserve in the x-men movies with all the focus being placed on wolverine. yea he's the best character but damn the whole teams worth looking at. my bitterness regarding all the crappy x-men movies will never die.

...yeah, but Cap wasn't a character with a $1bn-grossing movie adaptation the summer before, either. In the case of Batman, the suits stepped in to protect the investment, obviously.

from a few years back. Great art, but he needs more swashbuckling and a romantic interest that will last beyond flings. My suggestion...Betsy Braddock!!!

With a power like his, he should be a MUCH more dangerous an opponent then he's shown being. Same theory as the Flash, being able to "move" so quickly. It's too bad that hasn't been explored further.

Did anyone see a reference to the "a devil" not "The Devil" in the recent Teen Titans re: Kid Devil? That book sucks donkey balls but I caught that while illegally paging through it off the rack.
