"Craziest quote"
"Best taunt"
"Most ill informed statement"
"Best comeback
"Randomest statement"

seriously, if someone sets up a blog for this shit with AICN's blessing, I will promote it. I can guarantee you a few thousand hits a day, and that can only help AICN.

The main protagonist role is that of a woman, HSC agent who is investigating the Visitors. I'm not saying that Scott Wolf couldn't pull of a Tranny acting job, but he's actually got the role of a male news anchor that is the propaganda mouthpiece for the Visitors.

Oh, and his signature move , running his hands through his hair in agitation/stress/grief. He really gets a lot of mileage out of THAT day in acting class...

First of all, wasn't Marc Singer a camera man? Secondly why does he have to have anything to do with the news? back in 1983 the news media still had a little bit of credibility so it made sense. Why not make him a community activist who discovers people are being evicted from their homes by evil aliens pretending to be bankers. Now that would be relevant in the age of our messiah.

was the camera man/hero. However that's not what they are talking about above.

There was a woman in the original show (an ex girlfriend of Singer's character) who became the Visitor's official spokesperson, and was essentially a duped collaborator. She gets killed seconds after seeing what the Visitors are really about.

The theory put forward above, is that Scott is going to play that role.

I like my ACORN idea better. then when the show ends the human race will see that only President Obama is able to stop the "V"isitors by showing them the goodness of humanity. Or by raising our taxes and giving the visitors a bailout. I'm good either way.
The real question
by Carpet_Pisser

09:34:57 AM
is who should play Diana? Jane Badler was hot as hell. It'll probably go to Ali Larter because execs seem to have a massive boner for her, even though she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

Every talk back does not have to be a political discussion. I'd bet money that this show will be political though. Maybe the Visitors will only eat gay people and Hollywood will have Republicans side with them. A new character named “Rash Jimbaw” will say is unpatriotic to resist the aliens.

The fact that this would've never happened had Matthew Fox not been in Lost is the main reason why I think it's a bad idea. An actor should get a job because of his acting merits. Scott Wolf seems like a nice guy. But let's be honest. He can't lead anything (including that stupid canceled show about the back robbery from a few years back).

Rena Sofer or Catherine Bell should be for Anna...
by thecomedian
Mar 3rd, 2009
12:34:06 PM
...And they should change her name back to Diana. I think it's cool that they're going the Galactica route keeping the character archetypes only without insulting the audience and keeping the original names. But I'd say that since Diana is the icon of the franchise it'll be really silly for them to have a blond 40-something Andrea Thompson type play some character named "Anna" who's nothing more than a pale imitation. If they keep Diana as Diana and cast someone who will remind people of Jane Badler then they'll keep anyone who is a fan of or even remotely remembers the original(basically every television viewer over 30 because 80's V was HUGE). RENA SOFER is due for a breakout role. She's been is so much great stuff over the years.

On another note, the dad was also friends with Ellen Dow, the Rapping Granny from The Wedding Singer, and he got me her autograph. That was cool!

I will always be grateful to Mr. Johnson for making the original V and for his work on other shows from my youth. They are a part of what shaped my interests. Having said that, I am glad that Johnson is not involved in the remake. His idea now of who the bad guys are does not mesh with mine. Like too many Hollywood people, he has gone off the deep end with America as evil. He's entitled to that opinion, but a vast majority of people in the U.S. are proud of the country even if they are not always happy with everything. I read Johnson's interview about his ideas for a V sequel and then I read his novel sequel and I did not like it. HE can have whatever ideas he wants, but I will not watch a show that piles on to the "bash America" bandwagon.
