I actually loved the 60s TV series but the real core interest is in the radio shows which play the whole thing like a Jimmy Cagney gangster movie. I've always thought the best approach to a Hornet movie would be to do it straight and give it the tone and violence of De Palma's Untouchables. Set the thing in the 30s, with a zinging script by Untouchables scribe David Mamet, this could be different and very very cool. Sadly though I know it is going to be just a knock off comedy. Yah Hollywood, take the easy route.

He gives the car and stuff to Rogen and his Asian buddy? That way they can keep the t.v. series production design in tact. Everyone should remember that the driving force behind this movie is Rogen's writing partner who is a big fan of the t.v. series. In original stories about this, Rogen admitted he knew little about the show except Bruce Lee's involvement. But Rogen was convinced by his partner that he, Rogen, could handle the part. So this could be a cool way for them to destroy their careers. I say let them make it. It could be like watching a career suicide on screen!

I now pronounce blah blah blah. The only thing of interest was obviously Jessica Biel and her superb body. Outside of that...maybe a smile here and there but were talking Jay Leno comedy here only with cussing. Sandler is only ever good or funny in things he's not involved directly in outside of acting. Wedding Singer? Good movie, funny, corny but it worked. Spanglish? Also good, funny, not amazing but it worked. The golf movie he did where Bob Barker kicks his ass is probably the only "true" Sandler movie that was actually laugh out loud funny in places. The remote control movie was good for 2 reasons: 1) The Walken and (2)Kate Beckingsale's undeniable hottness.

someone posting "this will suck!" on something they haven't seen. not to mention that you certainly didn't seem to enjoy having a someone say shit about you. anyways, this could be awful. then again maybe they'll just have Kitt get knocked out and Kato has to save the day.. that would be the ultimate "Kato show" reference.

it could be VERY awful. But there's a reason so many are jumping on the Adam Sandler "news" - and to be fair, I have a strong hunch it will turn out to be BS and a false rumor (this site is laden with false news these days). BUT...if true, Adam Sandler is truly a damn-near guarantee that this film will blow...it will be a demonstration that the Producers don't want to take it seriously and instead would rather go for cheap laughs than wit and strong action. When Stephen Chow was attached to direct, there was at least the promise of something better (did you see Kung Fu Hustle?)....but they've fallen very far since that deal failed to work out.

Chow was the ONLY person that gave this project any light of hope. Now that he's not directing it, well we all can smell the stink now. Now Sandler is involved? Makes no fucking sense that the credit of Chow was the only thing working for this. . . awaiting eye rape, but Sandler?? Seth Rogen made me cringe and knowing that it was going to be a comedy instead of an action film REALLY made me just not care any more. But now... I rather have exploding diarrhea.
