Instead of remaking the whole thing might as well just start off from where the last episode that was faithful to the manga ended and their made up stuff began. Though to be honest I even liked the stuff they made up. Except for the very ending alternate reality shit...

The alternate reality stuff was pretty much shit. I liked the older flesh and blood Al too, but I was happiest when Ed was fighting the nazi's side by side with the Al-possessed suit of armor. The ending was crap too... stranding the two most powerful Alchemists in the world in an alternate reality where Alchemy doesn't exist? The hell was that about? Not to mention poor Winry getting the shaft. "Hi Ed, bye Ed." Yeesh.
