...I see now the mention of "family coming together" and all...but I still don't like classifying films as "holiday movies" unless it's something obvious like Elf or The Santa Clause. Even A Wonderful Life is not really about the Holidays...that just happens to be the setting.
Sorta TRUE actually. =)

Nobody's 100% anything these days.

I'm of Puerto Rican descent, but 4th generation American - NYC specifically - with Sicilian roots. My sister in-law is a Filipino/Chinese mix, which make my nephew more interesting looking. My cousin (by blood) is black thanks to his dad, which means he looks nothing like me since I'm white. My brother in-law is of hillbilly/redneck stock. Basically, Thanksgiving is like a freakin' meeting of the Rainbow Coalition at my house. =P

So, yeah. LG is onto something Sorta Rican is pretty fitting. Everybody's Sorta-Something nowadays. Look at Obama. He's half black, half white, & has asian half-siblings. Welcome to the melting pot.

The way it's going everybody have that "gooback" look. :p

LG is a very funny character actor. He & Danny Trejo happen to be 2 of the most most interesting character actors imo. You can forget their names, but never their roles. They're in everything.

Can't say I look forward to this movie, as the trailers lead me to believe that there might a few overplayed stereotypes. It might be worth it on DVD though, where I could burn an Alfred Molina Doc Ock figure in effigy if I hate it. :p (Wish they made a John Leguizamo figure. That would've made venting over the Super Mario movie that much more satisfying. LOL)

Great googly moogly

...was going to denver to see my girlfriend. I was looking pretty sharp and as I was passing people, they were staring at me. I looked to my left and the guzman was walking right beside me. I said hey you're the man are you? He grinned and said I'm the man. Then being at a loss for words I just said loved you in boogie nights. He thanked me and headed on. Matt Damon was in my town filming the informer last april. Couldn't have cared less. But Guzman, that guys cool

sidekick. I got to town, I kill them (makes stabbing motions), we spend the money. How is this a bad idea? I'm paraphrasing, but damn that was the only funny line in the movie. If you're reading this, we love ya Guz.
Freddy, who is Freddy. I dont' know a Freddy.

I do know a Frederico who I pay a lot of tuition for a the university. Maybe it's a mistake and I should cancel the check. Or, something to that effect. An aside, I think it's cool that Freddy is married to his high school sweetheart. Very few celebs pull that off because they don't take time to put actual work into their marriage, and treat it just like a disposable item.

God Help Me, I saw Four Christmases

And it was awful! Only one good scene in the entire movie. Well, maybe two--I'll throw in the opening scene. But it was telegraphed, obvious, allegedly heart-warming but really super fake. Worse than my low expectations.

They had a preview for Nothing Like The Holidays, and it actually looks even worse than Four Christmases, and I don't see much here to dissuade me from that opinion. It's the same sh!t, different actors.

Bah! Humbug! When did I become Scrooge?
