I'm a sucker for process stories, so I loved all the time you devoted to Sheen's approach. Will you be doing a FROST/NIXON review of your own?
This guy was awesome as Tony Blair

Loved him in "The Queen" and "The Deal". I thought he was fun in "Underworld" as well. Good interview.

FROST/NIXON review coming. Combining it with MILK since both are, technically, late.

And he seems like a really cool guy. Nice to read a review with an actor who understands that good Sci-fi and fantasy is a lens through which to understand the real world better, not just escape from it.

Right on. I'm dying to see if the putative third Peter Morgan Blair movie that was announced last year gets made.

This interview has made me a Sheen fan. I just watched Frost/Nixon last night and thought he did an extremely good job, but prior to that I wasn't even very aware of his roles. Hearing this level of appreciation for the art and process itself as well as giving props to genre flicks (and Philip K. Dick) convinces me that he's a good guy worth rooting for in the industry.

Michael Sheen aka Tony Blair, was Lucien. Even that photo obscures his physicality. Talk about getting into character.
Yeah, you should have asked him about Beckinsale's knocks.

He's playing the White Rabbit. Stephen Fry is the Cheshire Cat. Christopher Lee is Jabberwocky and Barbara Windsor is the Dormouse. Cheers.

I haven't seen THE QUEEN yet (although I'm not sure what's stopping me, I've wanted to since its release), nor have I seen THE DEAL. I didn't hate both UNDERWORLD films released so far, but I didn't get blown away by the performances either. After reading this interview, Michael Sheen is now officially on my radar big time. Can’t wait for FROST/NIXON, it looks excellent. Great interview Beaks, really interesting.

We need more great actors in genre flicks. And although I don't know the play, I'll be sure to catch Frost/Nixon. On a side note, if he's not playing the Chesire Cat, and if Depp is the Mad Hatter, then Sheen is likely either Tweedledum/Tweedledee or the King of Hearts. Of course, I'm assuming that Burton is going to use CG performance capture for the White Rabbit and the giant smoking caterpillar.
Maybe I'll give Lycans a chance
