It remains to be seen if it's gonna BE great, but so far so good! At least they get points for being an 'original' project!

And Dakota is growing up, aint she? Not sure I would have recognized her if I didnt know it was her before seeing the trailer.

McGuigan is an interesting filmmaker

Gangster #1, Wicker Park and Lucky # Slevin were all stylshly shot and cleverly-structured. Interesting to hear he's doing a superhero flick.
McGuigan has proven himself.

"Gangster No 1" is a masterpiece. "What do I look like, a cunt?" And "The Reckoning" is pretty damn good. McGuigan has skills.

Hoping it's a nice, stand alone adventure. I don't want to hear about the trilogy plans for it the week before it comes out.

Why is it that it is always a secret, sinister government agency behind everything? I mean, I have a healthy fear of the government (how can you not after the last eight years) but even I am finding that cliché being worn out. Plus, show me one case of the US government forcing people to work for a clandestine service against their will. Yeah, I know we don’t have psychics in the world, but we do have geniuses and talented people, so why isn’t the US forcing them to serve somewhere (hell, when I was in the army we could have used the help)? At least in Scanners the enemy was another scanner who viewed themselves as superior to normal man.

Besides that little grip, I will say it doesn’t sound so bad.

There are plans for more movies. Obviously, they'll need a big opening weekend. But if they get JUMPER numbers on a third of JUMPER's budget, I think a second film is guaranteed.

Sigh, and I am so lonely. Johnny Storm is rocking some hardware in this. Looks...interesting.
I was really hoping to like Jumper

Too much angst, not enough teleporting goodness. I keep hearing the book it's based on is good, I need to pick that up.

Candidate! McGuigan or Nolan. I know McGuigan was mention a few years back, but i think he'd fit into the Craig era snugly. Slevin is highly underrated (and has a Bond feel whenever it presents the villains) and Gangster No1 IS that 'classic' Mr Beaks.
The book Jumper and its sequel Reflex are great

And nothing that like the shockingly bad movie adaptation.

I liked Jumper, but I missed Wanted, haven't seen this, and Heroes:Oirigins never happened, so actually my headline is utter rubbish, but it sounded good at the time.
Gangster No 1 held such promises...

Such a great movie. McGuigan should never have gotten into fucking shitty Hollywood progects and held his ground by keep doing independant flicks.
Chris Evans for the lead is never a good thing

This film's cast has typical young good-looking actors with no depth.
