isn't the most devestating of the three choices, you know it's rough. Dear Zachary sounds both magnificent and absolutely slaying as a film. But I very much want to see it. And Splinter too. Some great stuff in there Drew. Thanks for taking the time to cover them.
quite an eclectic mix there

Even though I live in Oz, I am familiar with the Zachary Turner case - I don't know if I'd be brave enough to watch the doco, unless I want to feel like shit for the rest of the year. Even the trailer was tough to watch. Role models looks good though, will catch that. Thanks for the reviews, Mori.
Still haven't seen DZ myself yet

And if it's as gut-wretching as everyone says it is, I probably shouldn't. Once a screening of this actually comes to St. John's I'm sure we'll see some sort of action take place.

OK, I will get my hands on Dear Zachary as soon as I can... Just the review and trailer depressed the shit out of me.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think it's going to be on TV sometime around Dec. 7th. MSNBC I think. Again, not entirely sure on that, but for anyone interested in seeing it, that'll probably be the easiest way.
Splinter is cool

I watched Splinter for free on HDNet and it was a really fun and effective monster movie. A little like Feast, only without the humor and with fewer characters. Worth a look for sure.
Splinter was fun

The hand scene was the best. Though too much shaky cam and not enough shot of the creature. Which looked really cool, needed some final shot of it or something. Also everyone should have some good Oklahoma Choc beer.
Splinter was clever but ...

collapsed completely when any type of action occurred. He's an FX guy and it was painfully obvious he just didn't know how to shoot or edit action. (Just shake the camera wildly and ratchet up the sound FX) Too bad, because the urchin monster premise was cool.
Role Models WAS good

Shocked the shit out of me, but that was one of the funniest movies of the year. Jane Lynch was awesome. I laughed more than at Pineapple Express or Tropic Thunder.
