I miss Rick Moranis so much. A few years ago he was on Conan to promote his online country music album. He looked exactly the same and was funnier than ever. I respect his reasons for retirement, but I sure miss seeing his face. I was hoping to at least hear his voice.
He was Venkman? I thought Garfield was Venkman.

You know, whichever voice actor it was who did Garfield did Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters. He died last year, right?
Yeah, Moranis passed on the Ghostbusters game as well.

I loved Strange Brew and SCTV, but the preview for the cartoon just wasn't funny. Others should follow Moranis' example and fade away gracefully.

You are half correct sir, Lorenzo Music was in fact the voice of Venkman for the first 78 episodes, Coulier took over for the last 62 episodes.

He seemed to lost his passion for acting when his wife died of cancer. This is not about saying "Fuck You" to the world or about being lazy or anything like that. It's about having a major life change that makes you reassess your priorities and passions. And acting is no longer at the top for him. In fact, it seems it's no longer on the list at all. If you have a problem with that, then it's your problem.
Thats sucks

Dave and Rick made that thing perfect. Putting in some sitcom hack is not going to work. Leave Rick alone, he has done some crazy funny stuff. So he called it quits. Big deal.

I hope he is at the least happy. He brought a lot of joy and laughs through his various characters.

And when he retires, he retires. Not like Phoenix, who'll probably be back on screen after his musical career tanks, or Sean Penn who has said he's given up acting how many times now?

Scrap the project. There's no point now.

This'll crash and burn just like the previous attempt at a Bob & Doug cartoon. Without Rick Moranis, there is no point whatsoever. No disrespect to Moranis intended, but Dave Thomas should be smart enough to see this project shouldn't happen without him.

It should be noted that Full House will go down in history as the worse TV program of all time. That show corrupted a generation of television viewers, and it took another generation to recovery from it. Dav Coulier protrayal of Uncle Joey was one of the creepiest characters to ever appear on TV, and I would not have left the Olsen Twins alone with him.

by The_joker

That uncle Joey's character on Full House was just making fun of a stereotypical comedian of that time. Then I actually saw Dave Couliers act and realized I was giving Full House way too much credit in the satire dept. Dave Coulier is a hack. Jodie Sweetin a.k.a. Stephanie Tanner on the other hand turned out to be a hot little number. Unlike those skinny bitched Heath Ledger murdering Olsen Twins.

being about Dave Coulier was a myth like You're So Vain being about Warren Beatty. But then I thought, Dave Coulier? Of all the people to attach that song to, Dave Coulier? Then I knew it was true. Maybe she got into hockey players..

So hey, the stick twins have their millions, Saget still does stand-up I guess, Stamos got ER..Coulier has done a ton a voice over work (most recent Robot Chicken), so let the guy do what he does to make a living...

Let's all agree here: Full House SUCKED with a capital SUCK.

Fuck off for blaming him. You can't blame Couli-ass for wanting to work, either. No, this is truly the fault of those who are "approving" this cartoon with Couli-ass as a voice actor.

Once you're a celebrity for a minute, it's impossible to escape it ever again. I know Moranis quit acting after his wife died, which is a decision I don't know how anyone could question. But here's the thing: You can quit, but having been a celebrity once, people feel like you owe them something (even taking a role!) for the rest of your life. Moranis said he was done, man. It's not a publicity stunt, it's not a personal insult to you, its not a symptom of some delusion of grandeur. He just wants to get on with his life outside the public eye and, as big a bummer as that is for us, his fans, I think we ought to give him a chance to do it.

Apparently, when casting a new voice for a McKenzie brother, there's one thing you don't even want to consider: casting a CANADIAN.
