Geez, how can one of the greatest vampire films get neglected for so long??? I ask this.

The scene where Amy looked up at the camera with that cool makeup job that made her mouth look impossibly wide made the theater audience scream and jump. Prosthetics, baby!

Did you ask about that stupid Sci Fi TV Movie?

The Sci Fi Channel recently aired a rip off of Fright Night with Kevin Sorbo playing the Roddy McDowell part. They used werewolves instead of vampires, but copied the Fright Night almost scene for scene. I would be interested to see them follow up on that as it was such a clear copy, as well as a rotten attempt at filmmaking.

I've refused to buy a copy of Fright Night until it gets a special edition. Love that movie, though.

Another forgotten vampire movie from the 80's.
That movie was trippy as fuck - Grace Jones as a vampire stripper.
Tarantino shamlessly ripped of the concept years later for From Duck Till Dawn.

You know, the long lost, Tarantino sequel to Howard The Duck.
Or should that have been From Dusk Till Dawn?

I would love to blame the weed for something, but my area has been excrutiatingly dry for the last two weeks.

It's been years since I've seen Fright Night, and although I love Roddy to death, I don't remember being very impressed with this flick. Is it really worth a second look?

Special edition would be fantastic. I can only take so many "Evil Dead" special releases...
This is going to sound dumb, but...

Why doesn't AICN do this kind of thing once in a while? I mean, just as a goof...Harry, Beaks, Moriarty, Quint, Massa, Vern, whoever...get two or more of the regular idiots together, watch a classic that currently has no commentary track on DVD (or all the principals are dead) and do an informal MP3 commentary to be downloaded online at the site? I know it's a bit of work, but if you're going to be watching the movies anyway...or perhaps, at least, the Butt-Numb-A-Thon reaction track to any particular movie? I dunno, doesn't have to be a commentary a day or anything like Quint does, but maybe once or twice a year? Just throwing that out there.

... that doesn't sound dumb. Not at all. That's actually a really cool idea.
