Samson, Depp's maternal grandfather is a Cherokee, so he is at least 1/4 native american (don't know maternal grandmother's lineage offhand). Actually looking forward to the Cars 2 movie. But that's just because my 5-year-old has worn out the DVD and the PlayStation game for the first one! And yes, Handsome 12th Doctor, I did think that Sorcerer's Apprentice was the subtitle for the third National Treasure film!

Check with John and Brad about that. If they had a truly worthy story then they might make it. The main problem of its sequal is that the plot of the original goes solved all the problems that made it so charming. If you want a sequal though, there was a "rise of the underminer" game that came out after its release. Pirates sounds interesting(its great when you view it as a fantasy tale), but its one of those movies where they would have to introduce something and solve it within two to three hours(wasn't the fountain of youth what Sparrow was going after at the end?).

And I'll be happy. The Princess and the Frog will hopefully not suck, and kick start 2D animated films again. I hope Rapunzel maintains that cool art/painting look it had, because that was pretty neat. I hope King of the Elves is awsome. Don't give a shit about Pirates 4 to be honest. First one was awesome and completely caught me of guard, but 2 & 3 were complete bags of stirred up shit that was just tossed out at the audience. Wild Hogs and National Treasure movies need to stop. I hope Ben Kingsly is awesome in Prince of Persia, and why am I not surprised that Depp is in Burton's film? Also, who cares about a Cars 2? Disney does, that's who. I admit, that with Depp's great talent and a wonderful script, they could REALLY knock it out of the park (as did "IRON MAN"). I can actually imagine Depp in an almost...Val Kilmer/Doc Holiday ("TOMBSTONE") kind of way, showing that gunslinger side with a touch of humor (perhaps with a sadistic pinch). In that way, I can already feel goosebumps in this project's potential. --Since I sounded so negative on Depp being the Lone Ranger (especially as Tonto), I felt a need to be more clear. While I can understand why a lot of people hated Pirates 2 and 3, I actually enjoyed them and, while they were largely unnecessary because PotC really didn't need to be a franchise, felt they wrapped things up nicely, ending the story of those characters is a perfectly bittersweet note. As such, I really don't want another movie - UNLESS they completely cut Bloom and Knightley, opting to take Depp and go in a different direction with different supporting characters (yeah, I know, Sparrow was actually the supporting character) and tell an altogether different and separate story. Because the Turner/Swann story was told, and told beautifully, and it's finished. We don't need anything more. And I really don't want to see that fucked up by further milking of the cow. They want to continue the adventures of Sparrow and Barbossa? Fine. I might even check that out, because I love Geoffrey Rush. But if it's going to be the whole cast going for another round, then count me right the hell out.

It will be great to catch all the kids and parents off guard with a random scene where little timmy gets his head repeatedly slammed inside a cardoor and then dragged up I-95 until he's a bloody pulpy mess. Wild Hogs 2 should be about homicidal murdercycles with crazed swine riding around murdering people and turning humans into bacon, sausage, and other dishes that we usually make pigs into. Who said that? In a site for movie geeks? Get him out of here. Now that he's gone, I could stomach more Pirate movies but they have to find new protagonists. Make Jack Sparrow the supposed background character like in the first film, the catalyst who makes everything happen to the boring leads, except the boring leads are actually a reverse-MacGuffin for whatever antics Sparrow and Barbosa are up to. I'm thinking Anne Hathaway and some random dude as the couple.

especially National Treasure and Pirates...these should be like Bond with a new film out ever 2 or 3 yrs.... Tron2- about fucking time....Wild Hogs2- sure in was modestly successful but is there really a demand for a second????,
