I loved that show as a kid. I would stay up late on Friday nights to watch it. I might have to pick it up!

Well, also, the family name was Vendredi: French for "Friday." And they filmed in Toronto.
John D. LeMay was in "Jason Goes to Hell", though.

Not as the same character, though. Too bad they couldn't have gotten Robey, because then we might have been able to see her disRobey.

... I want to meet one person... just one person... who purchased the "Alvin & The Chipmonks: Holiday Gift Set," which includes the indispensable Halloween episode "Trick or Treason." That's more horrifying than the F13th TV series, which scared the shit out of me back in the day.

It's a lame-ass prime time soap that tries to be quirky, but is just stupid.

It was cursed, hence the evil powers bestowed on Jason... the series wasn't picked up again and it ended midway through the third season. Last episode was the Charnel Pit, with a 2 sided Marquis De Sade painting. Throughout the series, they made mention the store was in Chicago, but it was definitely filmed in Canada.

I was wondering why the writing staff was featured on the Emmys in a Christmas surrounding (the writing staff bit for Letterman, Daily Show, Conan, etc. is always a highlight). Colbert in underwear and shotgun was the capper though.
Friday's Curse?
by Charlie & Tex

There was no intention to have Friday the 13th: The Series ride the coattails of the movies, as Mancuso Jr was originally going for titles like "Curious Goods", and had his heart set on "The 13th Hour" - but realised that a show with a moniker like that would be easily dismissed. In the end, he bowed to pressure and logic by calling it "Friday the 13th: The Series". With all the shit flung at the genre by the tabloid press in the UK, this is probably pressed Paramount into retitling it "Friday's Curse" for the video release, keeping the same name for the overnight TV screenings on ITV over here. The show was very enjoyable for the initial run, went downhill come series 2 and was a chunk of shit once LeMay jump ship. I definate dip into the old wallet for this one!

Looking at this list is such torture. I can't afford anything right now, so I'll just Netflix away, but it's not the same. Although, I did drop a few bucks on Supernatural 1-3, and though it felt pretty irresponsible at the time, just seeing them in my paltry DVD collection pleases me.

It comes with a 'digital copy' or something like that. Tells you to go to iTunes and enter a provided code. Now, that means you get a copy of season three from iTunes right? Like the digital file, or whatnot? Will I be able to play said file on my iPhone? And if so, why doesn't seasons 1&2 come with this feature? Or every DVD imaginable, come to think of it. I know someone who Rips all their DVDs then uses some program to play them on his iPod.

I haven't posted here in awhile, but I just cannot believe f13 The Series is on DVD. Too bad Paramount can't be bothered to do anything special about it for the fan. If you're a child of the 1980s, you probably grew up watching this shit late at night, desperately trying to avoid your mom finding out. Tales from the Darkside, F13. Monsters, 1980s version of Twilight Zone, ST: TNG, I loved my WPWR Channel 50 Chicago, IL! BTW: Check out the first episode and discover that the little girl is played by an incredible young, pre=Munchausen, Sarah Polley! Also this weekend is the 21st (!) anniversary of the series premiere. I remember Cronenberg's Faith Healer episode, but I think my favorites were the "Vanity's Mirror" episodes from season 1 and season 2. Best Wishes,

this takes me back to my childhood. wow. finally on dvd. can't wait to get it. back around the time the series was on dvd, i can't remember which magazine it was. fangoria or gorezone. but there was an interview asking if they had any plans on bringing in jason for an episode. there had been an idea, there was no mention of a cursed mask story but that the idea was to have mickey and ryan go to crystal lake looking for a cursed item only to get stuck there with the threat of jason. they thought the whole thing didn't fit with the storyline of the show so they nixed it. what they did do was write and create an episode called "scarecrow". it's the only episode that comes close to the hack and slash stylings of jason. the scarecrow goes after anyone who's picture is put on it's coat. people just kept getting killed with it's scythe from left to right. it's one of my favorite episodes.

Tales from the darkside, then MONSTERS!,followed by Freddys Nightmares then Friday the 13th the series and to cap it off The 80s Twilight Zone. And yeah they did the exact same to the 80s Twilight Zone, put the entire series out with crap quality picture. But those are amazing to watch.More so the FT13.
