Choice roles. If you're doing two flicks, you have room for Beorn.

And I have to say, either Doug Jones is really, really gay or he needs to convert because I've never read so many "Goshes" and "sweet peas" from a grown man.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, 'cause I platonic love me some Doug Jones.

Dammit!

not Beorn, that would be better for Ron Perlman.

He's always so cheerful in his interviews, as if he's really just pleased as can be to be where he is. Hope he makes it into THE HOBBIT.

Or whatever that weird guy is who I think was missing from the start of Lord of the Rings but would work cool at the start of the Hobbit! Or maybee he was a t the start of the Hobbit I can't rememeber but anyway I always picture this wiry red skinned weirdo with pointy ears and I think Doug and Del Torro HAVE TO DO TOM BOMBADILLO!!!

I assumed it was the Wood Elf King he was referring to.

Not bad casting.

I heard Danny Kaye liked to get peed on. Just sayin.

IAmLegolas, you make a good point about Beorn.

We don't need someone obvious for that role (Sean Connery, Christopher Lee, insert overused/recognizable voice actor)

No, which is why I said HALF the time. the rest of the time he's just in costumes that anyone else could wear.

That is a terrible idea. I really love Doug's work, and I'd love for him to appear in something like THE HOBBIT... but come on, have any of you even SEEN Nolan's Batman films?

I have had the opportunity to meet Doug a couple of times, and he one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met. Would make time for anyone as much as he possibly could. As far as what Baked said above, Doug signs all his autographs with those little Jesus fish thingies, which I guess you could say informs the words he uses. Just an extremely happy, polite individual who is grateful that he gets to work and people appreciate it.

I've met the guy several times, and he's the coolest, nicest, most generous guy in Hollywood. Honestly, whenever I run into a celeb & have a chance to chat, I always compare the experience to how it rates with talking to Doug. Nobody comes close -- he's just that damn cool.

Doug's known as the nicest guy in the business - and yes, he doesn't cuss, is very clean-cut, decent, and very generous with his time. Oh, and he's never EVER done mo-cap in a film in his life - and that includes the Silver Surfer, despite what Fox tried to tell everyone.

Doug Jones is in Sockbaby 4. I highly recommend seeing it over at www.sockbaby.com. See the first three episodes first, then see the fourth one. It's hilarious and Doug's performance was definitely the highlight. For those that have seen it, "Sham bam bamina!"

I had no idea Doug Jones refrained from the cussage.

Though I didn't cuss, I feel badly that I discussed Danny Kaye's preference for watersports since there's a small chance he might read this TB and be offended. (Doug Jones that is...there's an even smaller chance Danny Kaye might read this, since in addition to enjoying being peed on, he has passed on.)

If there is ever an Elastic-Man live action flick I think Jones would be good casting.

Out of line, Doug is totally cool.....

Some of you are so jaded you can't see a truly nice Christian guy when you come across one. Since when is gay and Christian the same? He doesn't swear, and follows the "Golden Rule". And remember this one, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." As I recall he even has a minister in the family, his brother, I think. He's widely regarded by co-workers and fans as THE nicest guy in Hollywood. Have you ever heard or read anything negative about him? Who said he plays parts "just in costume"? You think it's easy to portray emotion when you're all covered up like that? Not just anyone can do that. That's why Doug gets all those parts. And yeah, I've seen Nolan's Batman movies. I'd rather see Burton's. Bale is boring. Keaton IS Batman. Doug would be a perfect Riddler.

It just sounds alot like my tb handle. If i was going to rank my lame ass handle it would be at the bottom of the list, but maybe Harry likes Kiss of Death as much as I do.Oh well. I think dannygloversdickblood should get to interview Danny Glover for this site. Thats about all I got.

Nothing wrong with swishy. Doug rocks. We all know it.

Christian? I dunno. I do know you don't have to be a Christian to have manners. He sounds like a gentleman, that's all...a goldarned gentleman.
