Does this not sound like an outtake from a Hollywood sendup? Guys sitting around trying to come up with a pitch to once again milk the legal show angle to death and some washed up writer, who was reading his daughter a fairy tale the night before, goes oh yeah Snow White....I can just see the rush to frantically reread old fairy tales for "inspiration". Sigh..

Like when they tell a logical paradox to Star Trek AI to break it. Does not compute. But you can bet your sweet ass I'll check this out, it's the most insane shit I ever heard to make a series out of.

It takes a lot of talent to make that kind of eccentric show work for more than one series. And by that time, it'd probably be canceled. Ally McBeal has a lot to answer for.

Someone at Fox watching this blog will go Fables, what's that? They will google it and say oh wow. Then, they'll drop this turd that is Ally McBeal revisited, and call DC/Vertigo, and try to get the ball rolling. At which point DC will say hell no, this has to be on FX, Showtime, or HBO. As FX is part of Fox they'll say okay, and with fingers crossed we can have Fables on the small screen next year.

can't come soon enough so I can hate-watch the shit out of it. Heroes is such a dim-witted show it makes me laugh. I love watching it to see what they're gonna fuck up next. Even the fist season everyone jerks off to was so simplistic and broad literally any person on the planet could relate. It makes for high ratings, sure, and also bland episodes that people think are good because they've never watched Lost.

Least Improved Show, Most Unwelcome Character, Character Most In Need of Being Killed Off (both Maya) and 3 TWoP staff picks; Least Villainous Villain (Adam Monroe); Least Favorite Actress (Dania Ramirez), Best "HoYay Moment" (Sylar/Mohinder) . The most damning one of all is, IMO, LVV. Adam Monroe? The Big Bad of season 2? Hardly.

I'm going to quote you right now in reference to your feelings towards Heroes, Season 1:

"so simplistic and broad literally any person on the planet could relate. It makes for high ratings, sure, and also bland episodes that people think are good because they've never watched Lost."

I am one of those viewers who thinks that Lost is god's gift to television, and those with open and educated minds. I also think that Heroes captured the quintessence of what it means to be a superhero.

The first season of Heroes was fantastic BECAUSE everyone could relate. That's the beauty of a superhero! People want to BE them because they want to escape normality. And with the first season you had normal people becoming more than human. This is something that SO many viewers find intriguing because they want it for themselves.

It is NOT as intellectually stimulating or engaging as Lost, but it is still a great show. Yes, the second season was a huge disappointment, but I have so much faith that Kring can learn from the mistakes and deliver a kick ass third season.

I'll agree they need to get away from the "people gaining powers" thing - it's been milked and it hooked people. But now it's time to get serious - in a way season 2 just quite couldn't because it was running on the compliments to season 1.

Most people don't know this....
