With iTunes and TV on DVD, a lot of people don't even begin watching shows until they're already off the air (usually because they didn't hear about them until afterwards). It doesn't take much time to put *spoiler alert!!!* in there, especially with such a BIG spoiler!

and Silver hurting and killing Bloodsuckers. I respect the fact that they are closer to human as far as appearance goes, but shouldn't they be just like us. So tired of the supernatural power bullcrap. Being immortal, but able to die if injured like we do is how I'd like to see them played out. The Viral crap HBO created for this show was laughable, but so far the show is pretty decent. Nice interview by the way. I like this guy. He doesnt come across as full of himself like most people in the biz.

you feel an all consuming feeling of bleak sadness, interrupted only by sporadic crying jags, a fun way to spend 48 hours after watching that finale!! Seriously, I could not stop crying for two days – and then I watched it again a couple of weeks later and the same thing happened, sob city!! I kept hearing Nate say “it’s already gone” over and over. I never had a TV show affect me so profoundly and illustrate in such a dramatic way how very short life is. It was a phenomenal series, one of my all time favorites.

actually wasn't all that bad. The lead actress just can't carry a TV show. I think she's a bleak, annoying, thick character. I hope this changes when 'character development' kicks in, or else I can't bear to watch the series any further. And Alan Ball can't do anything wrong after American Beauty in my book.
I am enjoying Trueblood as well!

My husband and I are longtime fans of the Sookie Stackhouse books and we both like the series a lot so far. With the exception of the Tara character (and I am still on the fence about her) the people and places are just about exactly as i pictured them – I think he did a great job!

some porn vampire? I'm liking the lead actress more in the 2nd ep of True Blood... now if they can just stop padding her bras so much. And I'm sorry, but that dipshit brother gets laid WAY too much.. I give it 2/5 so far.

I kind of like this show. It's NOT some warmed over version of Angel, Forever Knight, etc. **SPOILER** I like the fact that Bill killed the Rattrays and fed on them in a very matter-of-fact way. He's not a hero, messiah, or the like. He's a vampire who's more than a little intrigued with Sookie. The brother needs to grow up or get hit by a truck. At this point, either works for me.

*spoiler* jesus dies in the end of the bible, but it's alright casue he comes back alive again. and the ship actually sinks in titanic. kbass, I thought the angel finale was bleak and brutal, but considering what happened, a fucking brilliant ending just showing the network what a bunch of dicks they were to cancel it.

I wouldn't say "great," but definitely "good" after 2 episodes. It could go either way, at this point, though. If they don't start developing a deep mythology for Sookie and Bill (e.g. why she is "slayer"ish, why he can't "glamor" her), I'll probably lose interest; but, for now, they've got me watching, and even anticipating...Next week's episode looks really good (more of a vamp POV episode).

Welcome to the south. laid to tree ratio needs to be factored. If your surrounded by woods and you live in a boring town and you known everyone you know since childhood. You fuck alot till you get someone pregnant. What else are you going to do. It's boring in small towns. So fucking boring.

Alan Ball is legit. He's not in the biz to fuck around. HE takes mundane Americana-type shit and adds a new thread to it that makes it exciting and visceral. American Beauty was really great and Six Feet Under is my favorite TV series. True Blood, in my opinion, has had a strong start and if it gets better after episode 2? Sign me up for the whole run. Exciting times with Alan Ball!

Why can't anyone ever do the fangs properly? They look completely retarded. The hissing thing is also ridiculous. How are you supposed to come off as menacing if you sound like you're about to hurl up a fur ball? I get that setting it in Louisiana is a big "fuck you" to Anne Rice for turning into a "found again" Jesus freak and taking back the rights to The Vampire Chronicles from Warner Brothers. I don't know, I guess it's the same as when the patent on Tupperware expired, everyone else copied it. The show is OK, and I'm always glad to see William Sanderson working.

I just finished the series on last weekend, and was stunned by the way it ended. What a spectacular miscalculation. I don't know why Ball thinks he needs to spell everything out for you, but he's constantly doing it, in everything (I still hate that fucking plastic bag scene in AMERICAN BEAUTY). We didn't need to know what happened to these characters, and the hammy, jokey, soft-focus execution was preposterous. In the span of five minutes, he reduced five seasons of fantastic character development and wonderful performances into a plastic sack of cheap punchlines. I haven't been that pissed off at a series finale since Seinfeld. But, now I think i understand how the A.I. critics feel about the ending. Ball did something similar here, and it totally sucked. The series should have ended with the toasting of a departed key player - fade to black. The continued reappearance of that character (behaving OUT of character) after his death a few episodes before was bad enough. Ball's coda only made it worse.

Look, I know Six Feet Under has been off the air for a few years. Unfortunately, not all of us have time to catch up on the entire series yet. It was really dick to avoid putting a spoiler tag around the information with the last episode. I bet there are tons of shows you want to watch from the last 5-7, hell, maybe even more years that you haven't gotten around to. Why don't I just ruin the ending to everything for you because you haven't gotten around to it?
True Blood is decent so far.

My wife says it's like the books, but it's gonna take a bit to introduce the various characters and concepts. The main selling-point for me is that, being an HBO series, they can really push the mature content envelope. Let's hope they give it a chance to find its audience and flourish.

Has anyone seen it? It's one of the most disrespectful things I've seen. It paints the movie as this awkward comedy, while it's actually more depressing than American Beauty. The trailer is a joke on the viewer, right? Or has the film been drastically edited since when I saw it last year.

Is TB SFU? No, of course not. We may never get another series like SFU, which to me is the greatest series ever aired. But TB is a great show. Each week gets better, and I really respect Alan Ball for putting together a series that's just meant to be fun. Mosquito March? Maybe you call yourself Mosquito for a reason. You hate the SFU finale? You hate the plastic bag floating around the World Trade Center in American Beauty? You're in a tiny minority, even tinier than your mosquito body. Buzz and vibrate somewhere else. A mosquito, after all, is not something admirable. It's a tiny annoyance you slap on the side of your neck while adults talk.
