Good...does this he'll stop writing for The Simpsons?

Seriously....everyone has a different opinion on when The Simpsons started to suck. For me personally it was the first time I noticed Dana Goulds name in the credits. His style of "comedy" is on par with Gallagher or Sinbad....only less edgy.
Oh, him.

Now I can't get that freaking song out of my head!

I can't believe that someone, somewhere, thought this would be a good idea for a feature film.

non-narcotic induced hallucinations. These shows were like an LSD trip for a kid..and not a good trip either. Even as a child I knew that whomever made these shows had serious substance abuse issues, or were seriously just fucked up. Still, one of my fondest childhood memories was my own sexual awakening, as I discovered the joys of self manipulation whilst staring intently at Diedra Hall in her ELectra WOman outfit...so the Kroffts were not ALL bad.

Isn't the point of remakes to pick something good to remake? A lot of the Krofft stuff lasted one season, maybe two. There's a reason for that, they largely sucked.

And it looked so goddamn cheap. It's somewhat appealing weirdness was the best thing about it.

Although having H.R.Pufnstuff show up on 'My Name is Earl' to help Randy with his superhero duties was pretty damn funny.

Bigfoot and Wildboy.... Any Kroft remake, including Land of the Lost will suck. To go from costumes and puppets to CGI will just rip the soul from all these properties.

that scrunched up face and mop of seaweed..er..uh..I mean hair. And I do believe there was a overly loud and obnoxious female sea monster named Big MaMa in the original series...so yeah..Fergie would fit in nicely here.

I remember, and man oh man, even at the age of 11 I thought they were absolute shit. All of em, without exception, were repulsive anti-humor. Were they like a drug trip, even a bad one, like some of the posters have stated? No. A drug trip at least has some level of the unknown. These Kroft shows were just....painful. They were the absolute bottom of bad 70's TV, and God Lord, there was some really really really really BAD 70's TV, from the Game Shows to Prime Time. Lets just say it wasnt the Golden Age of Television.

i've been thinking the same thing. i mean after the coens, scorsese and allen shuffle off this mortal coil, what the fuck are we going to be left with? favrou (or whatever the hell he spells it) directing Iron Man 10? jj abrams bringing fringe to the big screen a year after it's cancelled? christ, ellison's title the glass teat may as well be applied to the movies these days (don't even bother calling our stuff "the cinema" anymore.) guess it's time for be to start stockpiling those old episodes of The Avengers if i want any clever sophistacation anymore. (or learn to love foreign filims). And as for books, the internet has turned my brain into tapioca so i can't even read anymore. thanks internet!

But damn, if it wouldn't be one hell of scary movie if it was made into a horror movie. Have those fucking hats eat people, drinking blood and fucking then you have my attention. Otherwise, fuck it all to hell.
