So he has that going for him. This show looked like a turd from the commercials. Thanks for the warning, Herc. What's the best new comedy, by the way?

Premise wasted, just like Voyager. Bad sci-fi like that makes it harder for the genre to go mainstream (see: BSG)

Now I need to see it just for the fuck of it. Will it be better (worse) than The Ropers? Remember Jefffrey Tambor in the opening of that sitcom with the plunger? Classic.
Jason Bateman directed this??!!

When he was hawking Hancock on the talk shows this summer, he showed himself to be a genuinely funny guy. Was he forced by gunpoint to direct this, or did he need a credit on his DGA card that badly? And does Comedy Central pay the Reno cast so poorly they have to whore themselves out to other, lower projects? And for this they cancelled Back To You? At least that had some pros behind it...and it showed some promise.

But the guy from "Valerie's Family" and the kid from "My Secret Identity" were not the same.

So, this man who is self-conscious about his wooden eye goes to a dance, but no one wants to dance with him.

He sees this woman standing all alone across the room and approaches her. She turns to him and she has a harelip. Desperately, he asks, "Would you like to dance with me?"

Her face lights up and she excitedly proclaims, "Would I? Would I?", to which the man responds, screaming, "HARELIP! HARELIP!"

If this is the one with the woman who doesn't eat and is vain that I've seen advertised it looks like bad 80s crud. What is it that people who approve tv shows smoke? Crap like this gets on the air so does that mean that the others are even more horrible?
I TOTALLY AGREE! This show is SHIT!

Niecy Nash should be transported back in time to when her character wasn't a horrible racial stereotype.

The shot composition alone was cringe-worthy.

because I really enjoyed Fred Goss' show "Sons & Daughters," which ABC canceled after less than a season. That show was pretty funny, even with the stupid "The dialogue in Sons & Daughters is partially improvised" disclaimer ABC put before it to make sure the general public understood that they would not be prompted when to laugh by a studio audience. They never even released it on DVD because the production company couldn't afford to license the songs for a box set. Too bad... luckily, I've got the episodes saved on my hard drive.

"Carpoolers" was so bad, I couldn't even finish the pilot episode. It's hard to believe this show is actually worse. Looks like Jerry O'Connell is just prime-time comedy poison.

Most underrated show of the season. Marmaduke forever!
Also, ABC needs to give Marmaduke his own show already.

If CARPOOLERS was THE MARMADUKE HOUR (and it was only 15 minutes) it would've been a big hit. And on that note, networks need to start doing 15-minute shows already. 30 minutes is way too long for a sitcom. But I digress.
Also, "dramas" should be cut from an hour to 30 minutes.

ENTOURAGE is so nice to watch because it doesn't overstay its welcome. You're like "it's over already?" at the end and you look forward to the next episode. Meanwhile, an hour-long episode of CSI: NY feels like you've been watching it for three months by the end.

David Cross MIGHT be gay! His wife (and her mother, and Job) are vapid! The dad is a liar! Fonzie! Michael Cera's one expression (which follows him to every other acting job). The frustration it all causes Michael! Like I said, a talented cast, but a show that short on material deserved it's short run. Believe me, I tried, and I did get the jokes - the same one they did week after week after week...
yeah, Arrested Development did the same jokes over & over again

Hotel Babylon only good show about hotels
by Stormwatcher

Man I have been working in exclusive and top rated hotels my whole life and can say that there is so much shit that goes on that's comedy gold but no one gets it right. Hotel Babylon on BBC is pretty good, worth the time but there's still so much that could be mined out of it. Just the other day I had to deal with a guy who was adament that the woman in his room was his buddies not his and that his buddy was staying with him and he was all mad that we told her his name and the whole time I am watching security footage of him with her for 8 days, no one else around so basically he's given her a fake name but put his real name on the room. People do messed up things in hotels. I found 50k in Chinese money once and a machete under a mattress. Crazy things.
Really, really, really...BAD!
