I've seen promos longer than Entourage.

They should toss in some commercials, just to make the show feel longer than a Looney Toons sketch.
I came to Entourage late in the game

.... only watching it (via DVD) during the writer's strike, since I had nothing else to do. I like it - a lot ... but 25 minutes a week is a bit light. I almost wish they'd film a whole season and air 2 episodes a week, back to back. Oh well. For those who bag on the show, eat it. It's pretty damn tight for a 'comedy'.

you may even be pushing it with FOTC. Seeing as how we have no real idea when the 2nd season is coming and when it does come it will be the last one we get. HBO is getting screwed. Anyone know if Curb is coming back?

This took too long to be on tv again. Just like The Shield, Herc.
does Debi Mazar's name still adorn a marquee?

she's the only character with the name in the title sequence who barely appears in the show... at least Ari's wife is hot.

is indeed coming back. All this bullshit hate- when was HBO weak recently? Did no one watch Generation Kill? final season of The Wire? David Simon, Larry David, Alan Ball, Tom Hanks, David Milch... yeah HBO is crazy weak. Right. Showtime sucks big time. They have one show on HBO's level- Brotherhood- and it gets a shorter order each season- from 12 to 10 to 8 episodes. Dexter really got hokey last season- Lila was painful to watch, the Dokes thing dragged on too long, and Dexter's sister gets more and more annoying. Tudors is crap, Bullshit! has run its course- and Weeds and Californication are overrated. Mad Men and whatever show HBO is featuring is stronger, better written, better acted, and with a bigger budget than all that crap. Except Brotherhood of course- Brotherhood's a fucking 10.

DerLanghaarige, if you didnt like the show after only two episodes and dont wanna watch it again, thats fine. But dont come on here trying to sum up what every episode is about when you admit to only having watched two. Your description is WAY off. This show aint perfect, but it is funny and it is entertaining to a lot of people. And cocolopez, no one is hating on HBO. We were merely pointing out that the shows lineup doesnt compare to what it was a couple years ago. You point out The Wire, Generation Kill, Tom Hanks and David Milch as reasons why it is still good now, but fail to realize that those shows arent on anymore and those producers arent making anything for HBO right now. Yeah, Alan Ball gets credit for SFU but True Blood was kinda lame tonight. So him working for HBO doesnt mean much. The fact is, HBO has a couple good comedies and 0 good dramas. Which is less that Showtime can say. You may not have liked Dexter season 2 but a lot of people, me included, did. Weeds still gets good reviews (I never watched it) and Californication was very funny. And like you said, Brotherhood rocks. I love HBO and dont plan on cancelling my subscription anytime soon, but they can be doing a lot better.

The opening episode seems like they atleast in part went back to the roots of what made the show good (shows written with an ego generally suck). The first episode of the season seemed to not jump the shark right out of the gate (which the show seemed to be doing like it was its job the last 2 seasons). Let's hope the show keeps up the good job (fingers crossed).
Love the opening with roeper and phelps

"Those producers aren't making anything for HBO right now"? You have no clue what the fuck you're talking about- I only mentioned names of guys who ARE still working on HBO shows. David Simon is making a show on post Katrina New Orleans, Larry David is working on season 7 of Curb, Alan Ball is doing True Blood, Tom Hanks is a producer of Big Love and is also gearing up for the counterpart to Band of Brothers, and David Milch is making his 70's cop show.
How was that funny?

It's mildly entertaining, depending on how entertaining you find shallow guys having threesomes and driving 100K cars, but where in that episode did something funny happen? Really.

on Entourage- it's as close to a guilty pleasure as I get these days- the characters are indeed shallow- but it's well produced- looks great- plenty of t & a, occasional laughs, Jeremy Piven's scenery chewing, some good cameos, and a look into the movie industry that is often truthful and interesting. Vinny CHase himself (my girl calls him Jo Jo the Dog Face Boy) is a fucking shmuck- as is Johnny Drama. Turtle's an amusing clown- and Eric's been getting a little annoying- but yeah a guilty pleasure nontheless- certainly not HBO's best.
