EDEN LAKE - Well made, but nothing new, a bit of a downer!
I KNOW HOW MANY RUNS YOU SCORED LAST - didn't take itself seriously, silly fun, great shower scene and inventive death scenes
SCAR 3D - 3D wasn't great, but it was hokey fun
FIRS...uh..SECON....damn...errrr ....fourth?

Was fine. Seemed to divide the audience, but the laid back aussie humour had me giggling most of the time. Frightfest seems to be turning into a Green/Lynch lovefest - hope they change the record next year.

Spain? Okay, whether I agree with you or not, I can see this list is for horror movies being made NOW. So, what films qualify Spain to be so high? I mean I know some good ones have come from there, but a lot must have missed my radar for that to be remotely true. Always happy to discover a treasure trove of overlooked great horror.

Calling "Open Your Eyes" horror is really pushing it. So why not list Amenabar's two other scary movies; Tesis and The Others? And don't forget Pan's Labyrinth and Devil's Backbone. Timecrimes is also Spanish, but also not what I would call horror, though closer to that genre than Abre los Ojos. And it is a fantastic movie. Looking forward to the rest of the reports.

The American remake, Quarantine, looks like it has potential. Sure would love to have a chance to see REC first though.

Rec if fucking amazing. Definitely search that out before you see the American remake. Full review on this site. http://tinyurl.com/pv8do

to Trick or Treat, that got bumped from last year to this year? Looking on Box Office Mojo's release schedule, I can't find it coming up anytime soon. What gives? I've been looking forward to it for a long time, and it's vanished. You guys know anything about that?

"The only serious blot on the copybook is that the final ‘shock’ revelation of the killers’ identities utilises a device that has been used far too many times in recent years." I'm guessing I'm not the only one guessing they wind up being sociopathic kids?
