But Halo wasn't much. It has a lame sci-fi story, lame weapons, and basically it's only saving grace was multi-player, which I didn't think was that great. Really, the only thing I liked about Halo were the Red vs. Blue shows. I can't imagine making a movie based on this. It was a well-made regular FPS, get over it. And please, do not make a movie.

the first piece was shittier than in game graphics from the original game, the second piece was definitely fan art that has been sitting in a wallpapers folder on my hard drive for 2 years. and you actually can claim that this is 3rd example with a straight face. You realize theres enough halo fan renders out there for latino review to release exclusives once a day for the next 20 years right? Him making the weapons with such detail shows future talent. The rocket launcher creation was very well done. But wearing the suit and mimic the movement of the game... He has to cut that shit out. There is NO WAY that is real concept art. I'll give you three reasons: A)There are ALL KINDS of rookie art mistakes on that piece- tangents, poor composition, the same photo elements used over and over, etc... B)Where's the design? I can tell you for certifiable fact that not ONE copncept artist would ever just recycle the designs from the game like that. Either the director would want a change, or the artist would put his own stamp on it. Any "Halo" movie, I'm sorry to say, will NOT look just like the game. See: Transformers for a perfect example of the changes directors like to make. C)I know a LOT of concept artists, and that signature is NOT one I recognize. I highly, HIGHLY doubt they'd go with a concept artist either that new or unexperienced for a project as big as Halo. Take it or leave it, but I'm 100% POSITIVE all of those are fan-art.

I stand with my fellow asshole talkbackers. I yawned at this story the first time and now, more probably fake concept art from a movie that never had a chance of getting past a "proposal" phase and will definitely never see the light of day. WHY is this news? At least if you could prove the validity of the source of the art itself MAYBE you could justify it, but no one gives a shit. And I say that as someone who played and enjoyed the HALO series. Good games. Absolutely no interest whatsoever in seeing a movie about it. If every piece of concept art (even VALID) from every movie ever proposed were put on a website, there wouldn't be a server with enough storage to host it.

I never shot up a school (but I wanted to -- ed. note: jk). I went to school for Industrial Design, focused on prop design...This kid is going places. He has a good understanding of scale and dimension, as well as a real mechanical intuitiveness. Most kids his age would just draw a gun, out of scale, on a cardboard cutout, and run around the house making "pyoo-pyoo" sounds.

Its CONCEPT Art, it doesn't have to look good, look at some other films' concept art, it is supposed to be VERY rough to give you an idea of what kind of scenes you are seeing, if this was the Poster Art I might be a little worried. I do agree though they should have kept with the BlomKampf/Jackson scenario - they are idiots for mucking that up. As for the Halo kid, ....at his age,who didn't imagining they were their favorite character such as Gi.Joe or whatever. At least he's not sitting around all day stuffing his face with chocolate and playing the damn game 12 hours a day. It looks like he took a lot of initiative to design all those cardboard weapons, I doubt most of us did anything that cool when we were kids or at the least that precise with the character. I bet he runs around the neighborhood with all his friends with that stuff. I would.

That ad was a miniature diorama, while the concept art is clearly a digital painting. It's a very similar scene, yes, but I think even the Elite holding up a fallen soldier/Spartan goes back to the first Halo Wars trailer. Probably earlier.
