Seeing Eddie in Dreamgirls, not my favorite film, but a glimpse into a new chapter in an incredibly talented performers life. By the time a franchise reaches a fourth film, it's already lost it's way two sequels ago and it's usually ten to fifteen years too late. Combine that with the fact that Eddie Murphy hasn't impressed since "Bowfinger." That film had help because it was Steve Martin's baby. Eddie: Show off your dramatic chops.
