I love how in 'easy Riders and Raging Bull's the story of how Paul Schrader became obsessed with Kinski after she threw him a mercy fuck. He stalked her like a love-sick puppy and she knocked him back saying "Paul, I sleep with ALL my directors..." That's some cold-blooded shit right there!

Tarantino has shown he's finally disappeared up his own asshole with the self-worship on display in the absolutely dire Death Proof. He's been going downhill since his peak with Jackie Brown - the Kill Bill's were entertaining and well done, but nowhere near as good as what had come before and DP was an utter pile of excrement. Based on the level of slide displayed so far, I have a feeling Inglorious Bastards will be remembered on a level with any old pile of crap Boll can vomit at the screen. Still, good news for Boll. At least then he'll legitimately be able to say he's as great as Tarantino. Oh, and Pitt as another character? Big fucking deal. For every Fight Club or Robert Ford in his resume, there's a Mr and Mrs Smith to stink it up and this is going down in that vein. Fuck all of you who don't agree, my word is absolute.

I expect Pegg, whilst investigating a problem, to walk in on a cheap French floozie servicing a German officer and make a pun based on my subject line. If that happens, then the movie will be worthwhile. Or maybe one about "Going Dutch" on a cheap floozie from the Netherlands.

interesting as the cast seems to be (except Eli Roth) they are doing it to work with Quentin. Sadly the script is not up to much. Honestly if they actually took out the inglosious bastards themselves it would have no impact, they seriously serve no useful purpose. There's a lot of good stuff in it but QT should have truly tried to make his "masterpiece" and forgotten the adolescent crap and concentrated on the well written Shosanna storyline which, alongside Col Landa (he does have an awesome opening scene, even if it is 17 pages long!) is all this film needed. Raines etc are superfluous really. Only the casting of Landa and more particularly Shosanna might get me to watch this one.

I thought the script was a pile of total crap. I finished it so I'll give the guy some credit - QT wrote and finished a script and I managed to read it to the end - credit over. I can't believe Pitt accepted it - Tarantino must have thrown money at him. QT is such a boring rambler and his weakest point is the godawful dialogue. Reservoir Dogs was an flawed film thanks to a racist conversation QT randomly threw in. Pulp Fiction was near flawless - thank you Roger Avery. Kill Bill was great until that ridiculous Superman speech. The inane babble in te second half of IB is embarassing and mostly pointless. QT takes hours to say what others say in minutes. It's a war movie with no battles - just a couple of brutal beatings. He sets up some characters powerfully and then all they do is talk. The IB Jew Squad hardly fight or kill anyone. It wishes it had the dialogue of Casablanca and the tension of The Guns of Navarone but it doesn't come close - its more like something written by a Ku Klux Klan teenager trying to be cool and controversial by throwing in as many racial epithets as possible. The actual Inglorious Bastards are hardly in it - there's just loads of waffling wearisome talk and 'banter'. And the ending is a total let down. I will not be wasting money to go see it - it's not a war movie, its a walky talky movie and not even a good one.

What happened to this flick being based on Dirty Dozen and the Italian Inglorious Bastards in that it was to be about American GI's convicted of crimes set loose on a suicide mission? i recall a QT interview in which he said the squad would be fighting off American MP's and Nazis, and that the film could be subtitled , ala Sergio Leone, "Once Upon A Time In Occupied France". Now I hear it is about a squad of American Jews fighting Nazi's? WTF?

I agree that Sandler would have been the preferred choice for bear but what the fuck is with the Eli hate , he's a douche bag ! so fucking what , Tarantino hasn't got a clue has he ! he's lost it hasn't he ! he made a couple of good films and then some crap films oh and that shit feast Deathproof. I just fucking LMAO at the total fucking ignorance of it. Grindhouse/Deathproof fit it's genre perfectly just because you movie experts didn't get doesn't make it crap. For those of you who say you get it and it is crap then NO YOU DIDN'T FUCKING GET IT , this it exactly what makes it so cool. When Spielberg goes on record and says it's crap it might mean something as opposed to ignorant idiots. Anyway Tarantino has lost the plot on this one even more he only got Brad Pitt to play a lead role oh this is going to be shit. Fucking WOW the insightfullness is amazing your contribution to the world is.... well... just...so...fucking....amazing . STAY AWAY FROM THE FILM YOU FUCKING IGNORANT IDIOTS.
