Sorry, but this is a fucking shit poster. Doesn't look like an artist has done it at all (Let alone a POSTER artist), but rather a high school student who has fucked around with the filters in Photoshop for half an hour. And it's way too busy, not in a good way.
It's a kick ass poster!

Its not just a "line contour" effect either! A shit load of work has gone in to that and it has a really good feel to it that evokes 70's exploitation which is kinda the point!

Since when can you not use hell in a film title? Hellraiser 1&2, From Hell, Motel Hell, A Glimpse of Hell, Hell Comes to Frogtown, Hellboy.

Line Contour
by xevoid
Aug 5th, 2008
10:31:10 AM
I believe he meant "Trace Contour" in Photoshop. My suspicion is that this is hand drawn on a computer using one of those graphic pens, and then some filters were added. I don't think this was purely hand drawn on a sheet of paper, but "hand drawn" in a computer.
Actually I take that back

Looking at this closely, it appears to me to be a hand drawn sketch in Illustrator, and then a ton of fills were added from a pallette of colors. This is NOT purely hand drawn; the color fills are too uniform and consistent. He didn't fill the spots with orange and white and stuff with a marker or a paintbrush; this was most likely done in Illustrator, not Photoshop, using standard fills. Major props to the artist for the drawing, but the fills really are pretty basic. Doesn't mean it doesn't look badass though.

Who CARES. Look, Toulouse-Lautrec is one of my all time favorite artists. I would love to see people off their computers making posters the old school way. That said, this is so many steps in the right direction that I'm shocked people are nit picking. I mean my god, do you not want them to continue down this road or do you want more of the bland photo shop posters we've been having (with exceptions like The Dark Knight)? I say make the marketers realize that it is to their benefit to step away from the photoshop. Give this puppy praise. I'm sure marketeers are thinking its a big enough risk that they don't have a photographic image. No sense scaring them away. Christ it's not even a BAD poster. I like it anyway.
The poster's the best part of the movie

I saw it last night. I thought it was atrocious. To the Ogre guy who mentioned Mad Dog Time, that's what this movie is, except instead of gangsters it's bikers. But all that terrible dialogue, those exchanges that aren't funny, but he thinks are funny and keep on going, they're present. The movie also made me feel sorry for every woman who appears in it, and I feel the need to apologize to them all. The thing is, all the ingredients for an awesome movie are here: tits, bikes, guns, tough guy talk. The thing is, it's awful and self indulgent. It's almost worth checking out to see how goddamn awful it truly is. But this is a cool poster. So much cooler than the flick.

In The Sci Fi Channel Original film "Croc". I think they left "of Shit" of the title. That guy has been slumming in C grade movies for years, that drunken bum. Even the dog gets a bone once in while i guess.

AICN went with a story "back in the day" about the battle with the MPAA over South Park's movie title. A routine search divulged this interesting bait-and-hook trivia item; it was no doubt a stunt at the time (early 1999).

"It is often claimed that the movie was originally titled South Park: All Hell Breaks Loose, and that the MPAA forced a change of the title; the creators of the characters, Trey Parker and Matt Stone , counterproposed South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut as a title, which is a double entendre. The story comes directly from Parker and Stone; Richard Taylor, a spokesman for the MPAA, denies that any film was ever submitted with that title and states that the MPAA did not reject the use of the word "hell" in the title. See, for instance, the film adaptation of the books From Hell and Hellboy , or the Hellraiser films."
