I really am stoked for this film. I'm also convinced that most of the supposed Kevin Smith haters secretly are pretty damned jealous of the guy.

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident Sunday night in north Mississippi. Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Ben Williams said Freeman, 71, and a female passenger were traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County when his vehicle went off the edge of the road. Freeman overcorrected, flipping his 1997 Nissan Maxima several times before coming to a rest. Emergency crews extracted Freeman and his passenger from their vehicle using the jaws of life. According to Williams, they were both airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Kathy Stringer, a spokesperson at The MED, said Freeman was listed in serious condition Monday morning. The condition of Freeman's passenger has not been released. Freeman, who won an Academy Award for his performance in 2004's Million Dollar Baby, is a co-owner of the Ground Zero Blues Club in Memphis. He currently stars in the Batman sequel The Dark Knight.

it was a comic and a radio show long before it was a TV show, I really think they may be going in the wrong direction if they are following the TV show's templete, sure GH is naturally going to be lighter in tone then Batman, but I hope they don't mistkae lightness for cheesiness

however it seems that Rogan has some comic book sensibilties so it may be in good hands

and this thought just occured, Paul Rudd as the Green Hornet?

And while I'm riled up...

Why do actors feel the need to "drop-in" on each other during interviews? Fucking leave the person alone and let him do his JOB, which is promoting the film. It reeks of someone wanting to kiss someone's ass with the added bonus of not having to actually talk to them becasue you'd be interrupting them while they are busy. Stupid Hollywood fucks.
And one more damn thing...

with all the writing/starring/producing credits he's compiling. Funny to see him fudge around the issue of smoking dope on The Tonight Show last week, but on AMC Shootout, he claims his success is due to the fact that he can write stoned. And when the subject of "stoner comedies" comes up, he says he writes "what he knows".

Agreed... except his drop-ins were Jamie King and Elizabeth Banks. But you know it KILLED him to say, "Sorry, I have to finish this interview, Jamie. Catch up with you at the Star Trek booth later?? Please??"

Its harder to read the interviews if the interviewer and interviewee aren't separated by different colors. Otherwise cool interview. It sounds like nobody gets private rooms to do interviews. That its just all one big clusterfuck in one huge room...

Mr. Game Show Voice just can't get enough of himself. It's amazing how much play this guy gets, and some of you idiots on this board are directly responsible for it. He is one note, and his jokes aren't even that funny. His appearance in Superbad was awful, and you can tell people who laugh at his jokes do so as more of a courtesy and not wanting to feel stupid for actually dropping money on this clown. And what is up with the stupid hair? John C. Reilly? OK. Will Ferrell started wearing it? Kinda creepy. This guy? Please. Have you seen him on the cover was it GQ recently? What a hack. What tools you all are for supporting him.

But sometimes they're a little too in love with their improv. 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up were each about 15mn too long. And I made the mistake of buying the uncut 40-Year-Old Virgin, which is like seventeen hours long. I tried to show it to people who'd never seen the movie before, and no one was really enjoying it, due to the filler. I'll check for this stand-up movie, but they really really really should get the theatrical version to a reasonable length.

What is it about comedies that whenever someone hits it big, they're in like 15 comedies in a row until everyone hates them and then they disappear. Let's see ... that's what happened to (a) Mike Meyers (b) Adam Sandler (c) Vince Vaughn (d) Will Ferrel and now (e) Seth Rogen. Why can't they just pace themselves, a la Sascha Baron Cohen ?

I know in every talkback there is a criticism of Kevin Smith or Seth Rogan or some Comic Con favorite. And immediately the defense is always, "You're just jealous."

For the record, Kevin Smith has absolutely nothing for me to be jealous of. I promise I would admit it. I don't want his career, his close friendship with Affleck, his wife, his wit, or his life. So let's just agree that some people can not like a particular brand of comedy and/or directorial talent and let that be a fair criticism. Is that so hard to do??

Just had to say...
