"Mila Kunis seemed uncomfortable." The Trejo story was hilarious as well (They need to make "Machete" immediately). The "no" is classic; sounds like a cool guy.
Really enjoyed this report.

I can't believe it occurred to you to do the "Save us" line! My only goal now is to live long enough to think that quick on my feet. Way to go man! PS: You are correct to have left immediately after - things could only degrade from there...

forgot to note that stupid ass quote...ya, lets forget that there are other panels with comic professionals in them...we arent there to see them...despite the fact that hollywood wouldnt be able to rape the industry without their work

Then you've obviously been attending the WRONG panels for the past nine years. This is, by far, the most boring year for Comic-Con in quite some time. 'Spose I'm glad you think you can fun, FreeScreeningWhore, but next time you "report," give us something COOL. I'll be looking for it next year, cuz it ain't happening at the 'Con THIS year.

is 77lbs, but given the month and a half of travel, which took me away from my gym and regular routine, it has been slacking. But beginning this week - I'm back on hitting the gym 5-6 days a week for an hour to an hour and a half. Today was Day 5 at the gym and the first day where it felt great to work out again. Also today I got my first "fill" on the lapband to restrict diet and put me on the path. It went fine. My goal is to lose another 80 lbs by my birthday and to be walking and no longer in the wheelchair. We'll see.

We may have our differences on the site, but personally I wish you well. Once you get dug into the rhythm of it it will start to truly become a way of life, far more satisfying and much less of a hassle. After high school I took off 70 lbs. to get into shape, and even know you have a slightly higher mountain to climb, I would guess the experience isn't too dissimilar. Trust me, to use an old cliche, nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

Harry, 70lbs is impressive. Wish I could see your transformation. Hearing about your hitting the gym 5-6 times a week just gave me that much more motivation to exercise more every week.

Or nothing but pandering to fanboys and tripe again at comic con? Even Kevin Smith deserves credit for not trotting out the same old shit this year. Im taking a new position. In the world of the Dark KNight, if were gona do 'found' stories, do them right. Make them medium specific, ie, stories that could only be told on film. Guess what, fanboys, watchmen will suck. Why, panel for panel is cool, but the art of Gibbons will always be supreme. Than comic cartoon thing linked last week is far better than the movie will ever be....I hope im wrong. This site depresses me. Every headline should read OLD SHIT ABOUT TO BECOME NEW SHIT.

Sounds like a pretty kick ass day. I personally never felt like Gambit represented the X-men very well. He always just felt to me like a character borrowing things from everybody else (unknown past, southern accent, smart-ass remarks) but it still must have been cool to see him in action.
very cool

Ultra geek points for doing the "save us" line, and bonus points for getting the correct response.

Rest of the story wasn't so exciting, but the "save us" bit makes it all worthwhile.

I wasn't sure about Jackie Earl Haley for Rorschach but between that great response to "save us" and hearing the story about how he recruited a bunch of his friends to make an unsolicited audition tape for the role, he is really sounding like great casting.
stories like that make me proud to be a nerd.

Exactly how I've always felt about him. Same for Cable and Bishop, but to a lesser degree.
