How much better would just about every action sequence shown be without the fucking slow mo??? A LOT better. Infinitely. I might be interested if it looked like they weren't CG crap. Any action movie using that much CG is automatically inferior. If the film comes out and I hear that the slow mo and CG is overblown in the trailers I'll give it a shot, but until then, nope.

So suspended physics, fantastical stunts, and slow-mo are to be expected. It's a sub-genre of action movies now that is separate from movies like Die Hard. If you want Die Hard go watch Die Hard, if you like this then watch this.

I get the feeling that if you dug that movie, you'll dig Wanted. VERY high stylized action, although likely less black comedy in Wanted, but still interestingly staged action that'll be fun as hell even though you know it's not even remotely possible in a million years in the real world :P

I suppose it is a subgenre at this point. But it is an inferior subgenre. And they should make less of them and more of the other kind.

Yes, McAvoy's accent is shitty. Yes, the dialog is even shittier. Yes, Morgan Freeman is awesome, his narration not so much. I don't give a fuck about the comic book, never heard of it, so even if the movie shits on the source material, as long as it's good, I don't care.

Pretty much everything else on display here is as fucking sweet as Angelina Jolie's chocolate covered pussy juice.

...Wait...Why are people interested in a trailer for wanted, Red Band or Not? It looks like it was shot by Kurt Wimmer and Paul W.S. Andersons love child. And you can't blame the trailer, because the Ruskies other flicks were just as shit as anything those two have pumped out. Add to which its known to be a very poor adaptation of an already very poor book, featuring an incredibly unsexy skeletor Jolie. Still, I hope its a hit because I like McAvoy, so keep pimping this crap.

Oh man I see people comparing this movie to that, oh I hope not. I've never been that bored in an action movie. It has me a little worried, because Clive Owen is not a good actor nor is he a good tough guy and just like Matt Damon before him he can't really fight. Just Rambo hadn't come out yet and quick cut editing still ruled action films with an iron fist. Now James Pan isn't a very exciting actor either (personally I think somone like Ellajhajk Wood would've been good in this role especially since he is wicked skinny now) and it McAvoy doesn't look like he could beat up anyone on this site even. I am DIEING for a review of this damnit! Hopefully by someone who's read the comic.

The film looks sick!

Yes, it's goofy, over the top, and highly stylized but so what?

It's a summer action flick. A shoot-em up that's rated R.

While alot of sorry movies get the "it's just a popcorn movie" pass, THIS film actually warrants that description.

Love the bit with the keyboard where the letters and the tooth spell out: "EFF YOU". I'm there opening day. Will be a surprise smash at the box office, a 65 mil opening weekend.(unless it's the same weekend that Get Smart opens... I'll have to check on that.)

The comic sucked. A nihilistic sicko fantasy with no redeeming values whatsoever. I got a kick out the creativity applied to the villains, I'll give it that, but the writing was infatuated with its dark sense of humor it just got upsetting. How can anyone enjoy a story where not a single character is remotely sympathetic. If you find a rapist sympathetic there is something seriously wrong with you. I'm glad they changed the story, maybe this will be as entertaining as the premise promised.

OK, it rips-off the Matrix is some ways. SO WHAT! I love the Matrix too, but it ripped-off a dozen Japanese movies before it. So cut-out all of the "It's a clone" BS and let us enjoy the movie without all of this fanboy, crybaby bullshit! Even the author of the source liked the script and gave it his blessing.

"the bullet went through the guys head and remained intact and unchanged." Indeed. They also manage to make bullets curve perfectly by swinging their arms as if throwing a curve-ball. Ergo, the laws of physics are clearly not a priority here... as they were in The Matrix, which this movie admittedly seems very similar... at least in terms of the theme where the secretly gifted young man is recruited by a shadowy organization to do impossible things.

Even if isnt´t true to the source-material at all. And I´n not talking about the superhero/villain-shit. In the comics the fraternity were a bunch of powerhungry, killing psychos who killed not because the had, most likely because the wanted to. Making the main character a sort of "hero" pussied down the whole concept! But he, at least it looks nice!
