I was REALLY hoping this was going to shed some light on a potential TMNT sequel, and I was kind of disappointed to see it was just about the anniversary of the Turtles (though that display with the various incarnations of the Turtles is pretty sweet). I know the studio must be hesitant to make a sequel since the first one wasn't the monster success they may have hoped, but TMNT has had a lot of time to find its audience on DVD (and has been a pretty big staple in the Hi Def sales because of how sweet it looks in HD). Plus, the Turtles will almost ALWAYS have a built-in audience on top of the audience the first TMNT has captured, so I'm sure "TMNT 2: The Search For More Money" will end up being the huge hit everyone wants it to be. So, like...make the movie already.

Having only glanced at this article i saw that poster and thought it was for the upcoming Oscar heavy hitter Disaster Movie (The posters both have lil'ole'Statue of Liberty doing something silly) then I thought about it and remembered the book. If they are making it a movie, that will be live action, thats just going to be horrible. WHY? Like same with Where the Wild Things are (but I have hope because of Spike Jones) but still. I know now that everything is possible in movies, but meh. I guess I am just surprised that this is getting turned into a movie, but still no Catcher in The Rye (even though with this wave of indie private school kids movies they've pretty much made it (Igby Goes Down)). Or no Shel Silverstein movie adaptations. Personally I would like to see a Great Smoke Off movie. Shel's early work before he was a kids poet is fucking historical.

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!! WHO WHO WHO WHO! We know that will be in the trailer, followed by Mambo #5 and the hippo dancing.

Seriously Ben/Ms. Will Smith/Rock/Friends Guy thats gone all Madonna do you really need money that bad? I can't find a single soul who liked the first one (Oh yeah Borat? Come'on) I believe that if you don't enjoy a kiddie movie then you shouldn't let your kids watch it. It only fuels their fire to make more and more crappy kiddie movies (Shreks 1-3). Damn you Dreamworks Animation for allowing every lazy film goer to associate the crap you make with Pixar.

thats who i can see playing that monster, not racist, just kinda resembles him. I know he isnt attached to the film, i could just see them matching the voice to the huge chin-head-mouth area.

Go to newsarama people. There's an interview with Dan Burger, Steve Murphy, and Peter Laird in which they talk about the 25th annaversary, the next film (which MIGHT be a hybrid film with the TMNT all CGI. Pete wants SMG to reprise her role as April from the animated film.) The 25th annaversary will rock!! Can't wait for December when the Mirage Universe Sourcebook comes out! :D
