I didn't know about the Unexpected Party chat until I read about it in a comment in this talkback.

Why the fuck wasn't this a story on the front page? I don't check the site daily, so I'm happy to be corrected if it was posted earlier but surely a reminder would have been worthwhile a few hours before?

I think you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who has deeper love of the ART of cinema - sure, Harry tends to only review the films he cares about - or rather, the films he know will generate the most dicussion - and these tend to be the ones that generate the most controversy. And this is because they're often the films and genres that are closest to the AICN community's heart. - and like it or not, we ARE a community) - every town has the blowhards, the cunts, the pureist, the fanboys - and the general populatio

Whilst I'm (personally) not wild about the style of Harry's reports - I gave up at chocolate covered pussy juice - I'm in awe of the dedication and outright love Harry has for cinema itself. I'm even more grateful for the fact that AICN attracted the likes of Moriarty, Quint and Capone whom I find have a more objective and dispassionate view of film and reviews.

And I don't mean any disprespect to Harry when I say that. I think you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who has a deeper and more unashamed passion for the art of cinema - not the technicalities - or even necessarily the quality of any given film - but the simple joy for the sheer range of genres that cinema spans.

I don't think anyone on these boards could disagree that Harry genuinely LOVES film...look at his weekly DVD reviews and you'll find films from Huston and Kubrick praised in the same breath as 'Swamp She-devils from Space'....so I think that although Harry isn't perfect (and he's never claimed to be - in fact he's pretty much worn his heart on his sleeve throughout the lifespan of AICN) we should cut him a huge break simply because of the huge debt we owe him for being the creator of AICN

Personally, I don't care about how AICN started. I'm just glad it is. And like it or not, the AICN community (with all its faults) IS a community with a common goal - to see the highest quality films about the subjects we care about....whether that's Star Trek or Iron Man.

Sure there's the haters, the racists and the the single minded fanboys who post to insult and enrage but I like to think they're vastly outnumbered by basically decent people who just plain like films.

I think that sometimes it's worth remembering that when we read and post in the talkbacks.

On a different but somewhat related note - have you ever noticed that for as much as women give men guff over obsessing about the size of their junk, they spend a lot of time and effort attempting to enhance and display the size of their bust? I think if they ever established a matriarchy, rank would be determined by cup size.

Honestly, going on about her boobs, when you all KNOW Harry's boobs are bigger.
