the Love Guru bit with Mike Myers made me laugh. David Arche-whatever's expression after the Guru told him he'd be getting hair in strange places was priceless. If only the movie didn't look so desperately lame.

I liked how they danced to their own steps and rarely synchronized their footwork...I think Tropic Thunder will rule based on RDJ alone.

DWTS far better than American Idiot
by Ninja Nerd

This show, goofy UGLY mirror ball trophy included, is just head and shoulders above AI. It's a whole lot more fun and entertaining. And it has never been mean, even to people like Penn Jillette who can't dance well at all. For me, the best moment of this season was the dancing of the "juniors", especially the winners, Brandon and Brittany. And DWTS got some Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders to present the junior trophy after Brandon made a comment about someday dancing on the show as a pro and wanting "...any of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.." as a celebrity partner. And this year, at least, the top three were indeed the best and Kristi deserved the win, even if some felt she was a "ringer". I will point out that I've done martial arts most of my life and have way above average physical skills, stamina, balance, and coordination. The wife and I took a ballroom dance course after the first season of DWTS and it was WAY harder than I thought. I can do a decent waltz and a passable foxtrot, but the quickstep, tango, and the latin dances are FREAKIN' IMPOSSIBLE to learn in a hurry. I say Kristi earned her ugly trophy. As for American Idiot, do we really NEED another Okie redneck C&W singer? I LIVE in Oklahoma...born and raised...and I'm sick of these people. My nickname for Carrie Underwood is "Hairy Underwear" and I think I'll anoint the newest Idiot "David, Cooked" since he looks like he just came from the meth lab out at the farm. Give me a freakin' break!

Jack Black: The New Bozo The Clown
by ArcadianDS

The guy is a clown in the worst sense. He is so insecure that heaven forbid he share a spotlight with someone and NOT ham it up grade-school style in order to make himself the center of attention. Downey played it straight until his (clearly Jack Black scripted) walk-off moment. He attempted to be the real deal. Stiller was just holding on for dear life while Jack drove off the road and through the cornfield. And yeah, RDJ is so better than this.

Those of you shouting about how much better than this RDJ is, did any of you consider the possibility that maybe he is out there having fun? Sure, it's goofy... and the guy is undoubtedly talented, but maybe he enjoys goofing off once in a while too.

People on the internet are too serious.

i can't rag on the tropic thunder team for having a spot on the #1 show in america and then donating the proceeds of the video download to charity. even if it wasn't the most hilarious thing in the world. i'd rather save my laughs for the movie when it comes out.

Everything you just wrote about the sketch, was exactly what they intended to do with it. They were supposed to not be in synch and 3 different characters. Clearly they achieved their objective. Sadly, you weren't in on the joke.

... the Celebrity All-Star Challenge?

I remember watching "I Love the 70's Part 12" where they talked about that show and how Linda Carter's bouncing breasts won every event.

Can't y'all just see a new version of Celebrity All-Star Challenge with Matthew Perry competing in the 100 yard dash against Ryan Seacrest and Alyson Hannigan while Kaley Couco and her luscious rack compete against William Shatner, Missy Peregrym, and Donald Faison in the 200 meter backstroke?

As Bania often told Jerry, it'd be "Gold, Jerry! Gold!"

You mean using the same very popular song in both amounts to stealing? In "30 Rock," it was used to show Kenneth's exit from the building, then changed the lyrics to bring him back in, while "Idol" simply used an old clip of Gladys and The Pips and put in three celebrities in the same video.

Yeah, those are so similar.

Downey as the arhythmic actor pretending to be a musician, Stiller as the guy who thinks he's too cool for this but clearly isn't (though he may be too old) and Black as the aspiring musician who realizes that his entire career to date still isn't as cool as any one Pip and tries to make up for it by being funny.

RDJ was cool. Stiller is never funny and niether is Jack Black They try to hard; comedy should be more subtle. They're all "watch me make you laugh", to ehich my natural response is, "no you won't". To be equal oppurtunity, I feel the same about Sarah Whatshername (J.Kimmels girlfriend) and Martin Lawrence.
