Dated special effects, but it makes The X-Files look like Mr. Rogers.

Ian McShane fans should check out Lovejoy (though it goes badly downhill after the first two seasons). It explores the cut-throat world of the antiques business in the lawless rolling hills of East Anglia. It's a bit like Deadwood, only with more swearing. The high class hooker with a heart, Lady Jane Felcher, is a particular highlight.

into buying Batman: The Movie by making it look more serious and releasing it around the same time as TDK? That is pretty fucked up.
Finally, a decent DVD set of the Galaxy Rangers?

About damn time! From what I've read, the entire series will be split in two sets; the other one due out later this year. Now if they can only put Sammo Hung's MARTIAL LAW series on DVD....

This is an obvious re-release due to the new Hulk film. I want to note, however, that Mcgee IS in "Returns", and presumably goes off to chase his ass and THOR afterwards. (Backdoor pilot?!) Original dvd release on May 6, 2003. So not only do the movies suck (You haven't lived until you see DAREDEVIL in a black ninja suit and a dishtowel wrapped around his head....ah the days we got excited to see any Marvel hero in live action!) but this release removes all extras from the previous one - per amazon.com: "Returns offers two interview segments: "Muscling in on Movies" is a 25-minute conversation with Ferrigno about his bodybuilding and acting careers, while "The Marvelous World of Stan Lee" is 16 minutes with the always-animated Hulk creator on his life and philosophy. A still gallery and detailed talent bios on Bixby and Ferrigno round out the disc. Trial offers the gallery and bios as well as "Stand Tall," a solid 84-minute documentary from 1994 that profiles Ferrigno's quest for the Mr. Olympia Masters competition that should prove fascinating for bodybuilding and athletic enthusiasts. Viewers can also access Trial's original script via DVD-ROM. A breezy and informative eight-page booklet on both features rounds out the set. --Paul Gaita" - So there.
HULK movies were crap

Another fan here of the original Ken Johnson TV series. Without Ken Johnson at the helm, without Joe Harnell's music, without a good story, and without a proper ending to the Banner-McGee story (which would have been resolved had CBS not pulled the plug in Season 5), the movies are left without a prayer. By the way, there are some unfilmed scripts for Season 5 floating around out there. "The Trial of Jack McGee" being the best. A script was never made for the grand finale though, which more than likely would have been filmed at the end of Season 5, and would have resolved the Banner-McGee story. Instead, CBS cut it short, would not allow an ending to be filmed, and then NBC comes along 6 years later with these crap-fest reunion movies.

isn't in this new pressing, nor was it in the first pressing. its called "The Death of the Incredible Hulk" and its much better then the first 2, a more serious film for what these low budget things could be. Theres a female spy which might as well have been someone like the Black Widow that is caught between 2 worlds, and David gets lucky! Indeed, the end, when he falls into the tarmack and reverts to Banner and dies IS a great moment. Word on the street is that there was a plan for a 4th Hulk film, where we wrap it all up ("The Birth of the incredible hulk" or something) and would have had Mcgee. Bixby died before it could be made. FYI - you can get THAT film on a dvd of its own with the OLD dvd of the 2 films and extras, for about the price of the new dvd with 2 films and no extras, on Amazon. The old pressings are still in print.

Somebody else owns the rights, which is why only two are in the box. While the telemovies didn't turn me on too much, I did enjoy the scene where Banner hulks out in the courtroom.

WOW!!! What a bonus treat.. I wonder if Mr. Mike's Mondo Video will be a bonus on another season release. I wonder if the film has been remastered. I wonder if they will ever complete the DVD season set releases before another video format takes over DVD.

I've always thought Tony Goldwyn played Daredevil. Seems I was wrong. Wasn't there a Thor tv show? Or at least another movie? I seem to remember seeing those characters again. But, as we see above, my memory isn't that good.
