First of all, the unabashedly liberal viewpoints exuded on this show have quickly worn thin. I get that Kelley doesn't like the Bush administration but does every closing argument have to begin with a line like, 'when we have an administration that does blah, blah blah, how can we expect people to take responsibility for their own action!?' That's what ruined the final season of The Practice leading into this series. I was a fan for a while, but watching people get away without having to take responsibility for their own actions is getting to be too much. Also, what happened to all the pretty people? Julie Bowen is sadly missed, as is Rhona Mitra and even the man-jawed Lake Bell ... instead we have the praying-mantis-ish Saffron Burrows and Tara Summers who is only cute because of her accent. How many times do we have to see someone hit on Candice Bergen before we lose our collective lunch!? Okay ... I think I'm done now. It took me a while to write this ... am I first?

I'm a conservative, yet I take no offense at their constant "liberal" talking points. That's just Alan Shore, that's how he runs things...

Denny, on the other hand, keeps the show balanced.

Not a big surprise was it?

They'd need a 5th Season for syndication, wouldn't they? Also it wouldn't hurt to keep David Kelley onside for future projects. Might be an idea to wrap it up though. Seasons 1 + 2 good IMO, 3 was OK, 4 was so abominable I stopped halfway through.

I don't want this to turn into a big political debate but you touched on one thing that really bugs me ... why is the only 'conservative' viewpoint expressed by the one character that everyone else considers to be clinically insane, and who himself believes is a victim of 'mad cow.' It's almost as balanced as FoxNews, although the show never claims to be about balance. I'm just sayin'. I'm off the soapbox now.

On BL, we've already had Shatner (natch), Rene "Odo" Auberjoinois, Armin "Quark" Shimerman, Ethan "Neelix" Philips, and recurring judge Henry Gibson, who guested once on DS9 as a Ferengi... how soon before we get Jeri Ryan, alum of Voyager and Kelley's Boston Public, or my dream Special Guest Star, one Leonard Nimoy as opposing counsel to Denny Crane! Come on, people, make it happen!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think she has had a lot of facial work done? I saw her in some vampire movie the other night, and she looked pretty different then she does now. Like she has cheek and chin implants. Looks very unnatural.

And I guess they don't want conservatives like you watching. That's no problem for me, as I'm a wacky liberal who find jibes at conservatives entertaining.

But hey, you've still got 24-hours of FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, Dennis Miller, Glenn Beck, the Washington Post and most of the other major news outlets to entertain you with shamelessly conservative-slanted fiction.

I wish they would address this, its very stressing because when this season started Larroquette was very grating and annoying. Its not half as good as last season. Like at the start of the season I thought this was it, no more. As season 4 went on, and we got more Danny and Alan time it got a lot better. Peeking with the alzheimer case, like after seeing Spaders soap box routine in that episode you know why he wins best actor every year. Especially over that HBO crap. I love this show and hopefully they will tone down the overly eccentric duo and maybe bring in some more brass balls (like Beriko (who I hope didn't leave this to be on that crap Fox Rom-Com show) or the ex-Marine guy). Whatever this show is great.
Also my buddy

Who only watches TV shows that are on pay channels said he'll give this a chance. But he made a good point. The main cast is made up of actors/actresses that you either love or hate, there really is no inbetween. When it comes to Shat/Spader/Larroquette/Bergen and even Selleck and Bierko. Like those are people that usually have a big I can't stand that person following. But they all work really well in this show. Like I don't know anyone who doesn't like it, just people that have never seen it.

Did you know besides being a legitimate multi-dan black belt, Expert Archerer, expert equestrian, rifle marksman, Certified Pilot, stalked and killed a Kodiak Bear all alone while hunting in the Yukon (Not with a Gun by the way but with a longbow) Shatner once hired a group of hard core mercanaries to go find POW's in Southeat asia. All 100% true. And yet JJ can't be prevailed upon to find a way to get him in the new film.

Of course, now I want a case where Christopher Lloyd is the client and he barks orders at Carl. But yeah, Montalban as the nemesis (or, if you want to be cute, James Caan playing himself) would be sweet. Finally, how about Malcolm McDowell as a nutjob client who pulls a gun and takes a shot at Denny, only to miss and have Denny kick his ass, and say, "That one was a long time coming! Denny Crane!"

I don't know of any other scripted show that could do this and get away with it. The whole pre-credit sequence in the last episode about whether it was Tuesdays at 10:00 or Wednesdays at 10:00 had me in stitches.
