I'm officially looking forward to ANYTHING Rian directs. I thought Brick was one of the most unique films in the past 3 decades. Which, of course, means that MiraJeff definitely hated it if I liked it (OOOhhh!! Low blow, Jeff, gotcha).

Brick was a trip, and unless this totally sucks, I will definitely check out anything Johnson does. plus, the cast is not too shabby either.

I LOVED BRICK IT WAS MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF 2006 ALONG WITH THE DEPARTED.IT WAS SO UNIQUE AND GREAT.I WILL SUPPORT ANYTHING RIAN DOES.I DONT THINK HE WILL DISAPOINT WITH THIS CAST

to his second effort for a long time. It seems like this movie's been delayed many, many times. Lots of troubleshooting necessary, or was Johnson just endlessly improving its editing? If the second reviewer's right and there is no real ending sequence to the movie, though, I'm not gonna be happy. Trying to stay positive.

Honestly, is it too much to ask? Throw in a period or a comma every now and then. I know, we live in a dawning new age of txt mssgng and OMGZLOLZ!!, but Jesus Christ, you have a whole keyboard at your disposal. These are tools that help with things like clarity, eloquence and making sense. I couldn't make out half of whatever the first reviewer was trying to get across. How are we supposed to take their review seriously? Hey, AICN... there's a discipline called "copy editing" as well. Look into it. /rant

I'm usually not a very negative reviewer like alot of the people on this website, but I gotta agree wholeheartedly with BraneRobot in that Brick really was not all that good of a movie for all the positive buzz that it got. I liked the lead and the main baddie for the most part, but the "overly stylized young Hollywood noir" feel of the movie? Blah on that man. Very, very slow pacing + half-assed story + listening to people close to half my age talking like my granfather back in the prohibition days? I'll pass on that and this movie too.

If they was ever a MORE appropriate metaphor for the insular language of teenagers, their cruel and secret/not so secret cliques, shifting aliances/ethics and backstabbing antics, well I've yet to see it.
