I would have absolutely no interest in this. But he was great in the trailer I saw. And Iron Man was kick-ass.

Zoolander sucked so hard it's STILL burping cum today...

Tropic Thunder however looks brilliant; despite Jack Black's lazy, samey old shit. Can't wait to see this - I nearly shit myself laughing at the trailer.

This actually sounds like a PLANT, but I'll still see it.

ZOOLANDER is greatness. Stiller should only be allowed to act in movies he directs. Cant wait for TROPIC THUNDER.

Thirding the hosannas for "Zoolander". I like Stiller much better when he's off the wall ("Zoolander", "Dodgeball") than when he's doing his put-upon schlub routine ("Along Came Polly", "Meet The Parents"). Everything I've read about this movie leads me to believe it'll be hilarious. Even Jack Black can't sink this one.

Ben Stiller usually doesn't do much for me in all those similar roles he has done but when he really goes crazy and acts as someone really unique, it's wonderful. I am already confident in the rest of the cast. Can't wait til August!

I'm the guy that wrote the review. I saw the movie, but at the time I was not sure if posting would be wise as a friend that got us in had all our names on a list. I was trying to talk about the screening as if I told the story. To be a plant I'm guessing I would have to work for a studio, I can tell you that is the furthest from the truth. Unless working in dental insurance is part of the industry. As for being a Ben Stiller "mark", I was a huge fan of his show, I watched it over and over like a maniac back in the days, and I was just happy to see him get back to that. Sorry if I liked to fucking movie pricks!

You're certainly someone who needs to work on his grammar. Also on saying more specific, interesting things about the movie and pointing out any flaws that might be present. When you say things along the lines of "comedic tour de force" and "all three stars get a chance to shine" (I'm paraphrasing, as I haven't memorized your review) it makes you sound like a studio-issued press release. If you are a plant, well. Take this advice to heart, and you'll be a more successful plant in the future. And even a plant can say that some people might be put off by x, y, and z. Or you could just quit and find a less loathsome job. Or throw yourself from a high building.

I do not want to give spoilers but it must be said that Ben Stiller gives a performance worthy of an Oscar. Marlon Brando was rather good also, and paired perfectly with Hulk Hogan and Sting...

Thanks for the tips. The fact is I saw this movie, I was excited about it. I wanted to write an advanced review of the film, but on the other hand I did not want to go in so much depth that I would blow a lot of great jokes, and plot points. There is a lot of great stuff that just deserves to be seen. I realize that this is an era where people don't want to be suprised, but I decided to be vague. Besides do you really want me trying to relay the jokes in a review and expect them to sound funny? As for the grammer, it's never been my strong suit, I typed it up late at night and I just wanted to let people know that it's funny. As for letting people know they might be put off by something FUCK THEM. Before I posted this review all I read was how horrible it was that Robert Downey was in blackface, that's not even true. There's a reason for it and the set-up is funny. There are a zillion PC a-holes that get offended by every fuckin thing that people do in these movies. I personally loved the movie from beginning to end. I'm not a professional reviewer. I tried to be funny, the review sucked I accept that. But all this BS about being a plant, give me a break. First off the movie is a comedy it's not the second coming of the Godfather. The fuckin' movie made me laugh. I was going for something short that just let people know it was good. Would you rather hear 3 paragraphs about traffic, weather and where I fuckin parked my car, where I ate before hand and how long it took me to get home? Because I can do that. The fact is that nobody cares what the inside of the theatre looked like. It was a good fuckin movie and that's all I wanted to say in the first place.

you dont actually say anything about what happens in the movie.

most plants just repeat what happens in the trailer. like an above post asks, whos the villian? what country does this take place in, and (my question) how long until they get from the movie to the real jungle? 15 mins in? 30 mins in? thanks
