And in Date Movie there was a joke referencing the movie Rize, and also one about Bum Fights. Both of which are not huge mass-market things. So just this past weekend I netflixed Epic Movie. I don't know why, but I just had to see it. Kinda like how Indy couldn't blow up the Ark in Raiders. I needed to see it. If it starts raining frogs the day before this hits theaters you'll know i'm right. I'll bet anyone on this site that this movie will include a cameo by Tila Tequilla and include a spoof of Miley Cyrus/High School Musical. If the first day of production(with both writters and all actors present) the whole studio burnt to the ground and all they found was scratch marks by the door it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit. I know thats hateful but my God how can shit like this get greenlit? Besides the fact that Kim Kardashian is only famous for being a rich,spoiled whore and the rest of the crew is made up of people that will do anything for money (what the fuck is a G-Thang?) it just doesn't make any sense to throw money away like that. they spoof the trailers. That way, you don't have to have seen the movie to know the reference. Also, they can reference movies that, by the time their movie comes out, are still somewhat current. They don't write jokes they simply make visual references. "Look, it's that Love Guru. I recognize him from the TV ads. Ha Ha." I have never watched Ugly Betty but I don't think she is a psychic. However, in Meet the Spartans the character of the Oracle was a woman made up to look like Ugly Betty. Why? It makes no sense but the character is easily recognizable so into the movie she goes. There are those who find that funny, "Ha ha, it's Ugly Betty", but it's not comedy. I guess when you are really stoned, or a moron, or both, anything can seem funny. But it's not.
