will be the surprise hit of the summer.

I'm catching Hellboy 2 on dvd.

Oh, and Lucasfilm needs to get with it and announce the stuff fans really want: Saga Blu-ray set and 3D versions of the films in theatres again. Nobody cares about the rest.

I think he now has enough power-influence, so that he can do it without studios fucking with him to much. also, no mention of the hobbit? Lucasfilm= Zzzzz

Del Toro is fascinating. He brings a Wes Anderson-like attention to detail to f$#ing monsters. And he can never record enough commentary tracks to his films. I'm more excited for Hellboy II than anything else this summer, and that's saying a lot.

for this panel especially, crowds of photographers hogged all the viewing space to snap photo after photo after photo! i'd love to put them all on oceanic flight 815 to la.

Thanks, Quint. Good to hear about the panels and footage, though I wonder what the fuck LucasFilm is thinking sometimes. No Indy footage less than a month from its release? Bleh. Lucas probably knows the masses will go see it regardless due to the strong name branding he's accomplished. Why put any effort into a Con?

Good to hear from Bekmambetov and Del Toro too.

The last three movies and the over saturation of all things Star Wars has killed this franchise. I'm glad too that I don't collect Star Wars figures either or I'd be broke and mad as hell. How the fuck does anyone keep up with that figurine madness. THere's just too much shit.

"del Toro wants to do it but no one will finance it"
Yeah, but they´ll finance Transformers 2 or Meet the Spartans 2. Fucking sad.
About Lucas, i liked the prequels, but he should let Star Wars rest in peace.

Revenge of the Sith - $380 million domestic, $470 million international. Plenty folk still interested in Star Wars. The whiners need to pick up a copy of 'A Galaxy Not So Far Away' edited by Glenn Kenny and read the essay in it called 'A Big Dumb Movie About Space Wizards' by Onion writer Todd Hanson. They might learn something.

Del Toro had to deal with David S. Goyer, otherwise maybe he would've stuck around to make Blade 3. Which may have gave spawn to a possible classic Harry review. Though I feel nothing shall top the Blade 2 review.

I love it when cunts like this writer act like he speaks for all of SW fandom, which he doesn't. I also love how he takes predictable stabs at Lucas for double dipping when in reality Lucas has been anything but a double dip whore. The Indy films have only seen one DVD release in four years so of course they would release a new box set in time for the fourth film. As for SW, there have only been two releases of the original trilogy to date and the second release allowed separate copies of the films to be purchased along with the original, non-SE versions on a second disc. Then we have the prequels, each of which has only been released once; no new packaging or features. As for the Clone Wars series, it's obvious they are trying to emulate the look of the CW cartoon but using a CG aesthetic. Lay off the bashing twat because it’s beyond passé.
