They have to ramp up the tone to a revenge film, up the violence and actually place the protagonist in real peril. A really good over the top, scenery chewing bad guy, wouldn't hurt either. If Univeral was smart, they'd use this as bookends to their franchise. Of course they won't and we'll see direct to video sequels with Zac Effron in like six months.

Never saw the second one cause, from the trailers, it pretty much looked like the first without Vin, so what was the point.
