y'know...the copyright restriction for playing videos outside the country is really annoying..and so unnecessary when you can just watch the HD version.
Humour...

The humour used at the beginning of the film to draw you in doesn't last throughout the movie..at least not on the same level. I think that's a good move because the CG and the dancing BinLaden seemed mostly retarded to me and out of place. The film matures as you watch it and the corny gag humour isn't used as much after the first 5 minutes.

after thinking about it, there are still stupid animations throughout the movie and he also puts al quaeda faces on baseball cards...like how the US military put saddam's buddies on playing cards...but that stupid stuff that wasn't too funny gets overshadowed by the good parts of the film...the interviews and such.

Wasted, wasted, wasted opportunity. Osama killed, like, thousands of people and Spurlock wants to deduce that to a video game where he gets to say, "Super Size This, mother fucker..." as he defeats Mega-Bin-Laden. No joke. He literally ends the movie that way. What a tool.

Is it me or does this asshat just seem like he hustled and continues to huslte the documentary industry? I'm sure it's interesting...like a grisly multiple car accident involving children nuns, and farm animals...but at the end of the day its an exercise in auto-obsessive-masturbatory bullshit isn't it? Fries so saturated with fat that you can squeegee it out like water from a wet rag...that shit is bad for you? Who knew? I used to like my super-sized coke until dickhat Spurlock came along and decided I don't have that right cause fatasses can't help stuffing hoho's and twinkies down their throats non fucking stop. That somehow, without this schmuck, I wouldn't realize fast food was bad for you...as I watch giant assed people on butt-scooters buzz about in the mall or grocery store. I feel the same about those precocious asswipe kids and their anti-smoking bullshit. Instead of being pretentious assholes lying in coffins in front of Big Tobacco telling people what they already know...why don't you go out and clean up the fucking environment? Why don't you shut the fuck up for five minutes and fucking DO something??!?!? Nobody gives a shit if some skinny putz in his dad's Ramones shirt thinks Big Tobacco is EVIL like their CEO, THE DEVIL!!! Turdlock is a huckster...a grifter...and he took an obvious concpet...fast food isn't good for you...subjected his moron-brain vessel to it for a month and what do you know...the guy was circling the drain. Well holy shit...god damn Eureka on that!!!

Sorry to rant...I just hate asshole who announce something fucking everybody knows and then act like they just discovered fire. Asses!

he didn't just say fast food is bad for you...he pointed out why many people choose fast food - either it's all they can afford, or it's the only place with a playground for their children, etc...he took the time to say that the food is and for you and these people not only don't have a choice, they don't know how bad it is...i assume that not everyone is well-educated and when you're sucked into a place that seems happy and affordable, why question the health of it? after the movie, mcd's (here in canada at least), made their nutritional information more accessible and started offering healthier choices. similarly in this movie, he points out the problems in the world and says that everyone is basically good...but that so many people with radical ideas are unwilling to sit down and have a reasonable conversation about how to actually solve their disputes...i'm assuming that many of the people who see this film will see many new cultures in a new light, not because this is the best documentary made on the topic of foreign politics and wars, but because it is meant to be entertaining and a little bit fluffy while still trying to make you think. if you get rid of the eye candy and joke gags he uses, there are some pretty good moments and ideas underlying everything. that being said, the movie isn't a non-stop barrel of laughs. things get serious time and again and they get a little boring once in a while (mainly when the jokes are falling dead when you see the 7th baseball card of an alquaeda dude, etc).

I saw the film at Sundance. Yes, that's how the movie ended. Oh, except for showing for his wife's vagina. Even if he changed the ending post-Sundance, the rest of the film was flagrent fecal matter. So... yeah.

this 'documentary' is one of the most self-obsessed pieces of *beep* you will see this summer. The movie isnt about osama. It's a 1,5 hour ego-trip of Spurlock, Spurlock, his girlfriend and , oh well, Spurlock. He travels the world as some sort of reverse Borat. How original! Goes into an Arab grocery store, asks: "have you seen Osama Bin Laden??" ..sigh..

i didn't see any humor in that at all. not a thing about that was clever. the pace was very rushed... as a film, it looks like it can't tell if it wants to be a comedy or a documentary, erratically jumping between the two. the staged kidnapping scenarios were worse than the re-enactments on Unsolved Mysteries.
