Gibson is a fine director - Apocalypto and JC vs the Jews prove that technically at least he knows what he's doing. (although clearly he is seriously aroused by seeing other people in pain- separate issue) But how many times are we going to say we are so dumb as a public that we want to keep on going to that same old well. Mad Max 4? Christ - the story is done. It was done after MM2, as MM3 so clearly demonstrated. Alien Vs Mad Max Vs Rocky Vs Rambo Vs Re-animator. Give me strength. George Miller - don't do it.
Wasn't there already a sequel to HappyFeet?

Sorry Blood Dimond just stole the ending from Happy Feet. Added a stolen scene from Rambo and a scene from City of God. Blood Dimond did however have a lot more humor then Happy Feet.

NO! I WANT MY SON! - Hil-arious.

Why flog every horse to death? And here's something else: Mel Gibson cannot act - he has never been able to act. Correction: for about 70 seconds in "The Singing Detective" he acted but not before and not since. Who else can't act? Harrison Ford - hilariously bad with a range that covers the distance between one of my butt cheek and the other.

Is it safe to say that it was the Mad Max films that made the US, and other parts of the world, really notice Australian cinema.

and it's been said for years (including by Miller) that Gibson won't play Max again. But yes, MM2 outshines 3 all right. I want 4 just so it can be the 3 I wanted in the first place.
But Affleck was the bomb in Phant- Oh never mind.

I couldn't understand a word Casey said in Good Will Hunting. Mumbles Affleck. Sure did work a treat in Jesse James though.

The OZ government (the last one AND this one) aren't helping to maintain a sustainable OZ industry (see: Justice League), so there's gonna hafta be self/creator generated sequels just like the U.S. As far as Miller goes at least this is so that more and different movies can be made rather than suit-driven creative bankruptcy, it's a means to an end and him putting his money where his mouth is. Just stay at home and enjoy some crispy bird. Soylent Mean is... penguins!
